I thought I put them here, but I guess not.

BTW, it's gonna be really funny when Matt comes to town and institutes all the changes we've suggested and TV acts like they had no idea.

Its actually the new TV dresscode and they will not let you into the card room without them. They have a bunch of big loaner headphones for people that forget their own.

Should see new changes for 2014 starting with HPT in a week or two.

Also the August main event has a rumor of $50,000 starting chips for the $1,650 buy in.

Why do people think the starting stack matters? The structure matters, not the starting stack.

Why do you always say theres a rumor? Its clear that you know or know someone who finalizes these things. Also is this main event in August by HPT?

Clearly starting stack and structure both matter, along with blind length..

Only thing that matters is seat position & luck.

Because I am not God and I never want to be accused of saying something that turns out not to be the case. 50k sounds high. I don't need to start with 50k to win. Also seems like it would cut down on the high roller re entries as it should be difficult to go through 50k in early rounds. You might even make it to dinner break without playing a hand.

For this particular information you only had to listen to the recent Ante up podcasts. . They talked about thunder valley event in August.

No it's not hpt.
Hpt should only be once a year. Hpt in January. Wpt in march. Then wsop in Vegas then ante up world championships in August.

Last side note. Playing main event at venetian today. The chips are hideous. Not only worn out and likely covered in bacteria. The colors are not easily identifiable as I will likely be confusing the 100 and 500 all day. Sounds like fun.

Never thought I would appreciate thunders new chips. Still clean looking and colors are huge contrast! Probably why it's my best casino. For us 10% of the male population that is color blind it makes a huge difference.

Venetian betting line rule details. Ok so here is the actual venetian betting line rule.

Any chips cross the line and player is required to make minimum bet or call.

Any chips released over the line stay in the pot.

They have also already adopted new tda rule first card off deck. Not in seat no hand for you.

With thunder changing their line rule this month I wonder how they will adjust the rule. Will they have venetian style rules or none at all or some mix???

They also have a very nice top ten rules to know about venetian poker room as a hand out on the wall. Great idea. Bringing one home for all to see.

For those of you who have played at Graton...

What is the buy-in max for 2/5
What is the buy-in max for 5/10? Table max?

I never liked TV's 2/5 because of the $500 cap. Hopefully Graton didn't continue that trend.

I guess you follow me on twitter. I use my middle name which is nick.

Ok one more rule I like at venetian. At tournament break They wait until all tables have finished their hands before starting the break clock! Very nice.

2/5 is 1k at the start of the game, then 1k or table stakes, whichever's highest

5/10 is no max.

Much better structure than TV imo. Haven't played at TV in a while, but the games at Graton are softer than I remember them being at TV from 5-6 months ago, so definitely try and make it out if the drive makes sense for you.

I am out of town but here reports that the new year brought some new things for thunder Valley. New felt, no more betting line, and 9 handed roomier tables.

Hey when did that name the WPT tournament contest start?

Just saw a winner was announced and won a $1,100 seat and hotel. Guess we missed out.
