32 tables running at thunder right now!! Despite what bravo might say. I think you have to go to commerce to find a bigger poker room. This is fantastic.

Only 148 tables running here at Choctaw in completely smoke free rooms (poker room 45, event center 75, & over flow room 28) although the casino floor is a cloud of smoke just like Thunder.

GL to all the heros still left in the $425, you'll be playing for 2nd place next week

148 really? Nice.

Oh and thanks!
I just bagged about a million chips in the $425 event 1.
Wish you were here.

Plan on cashing every event this series.

Had over 700 players... Smashed the previous record.

See you next weekend though.

For someone who plans on cashing every event, you're awfully unwilling to prop bet.

Congrats! Yeah I would say an impressive finish and about as good of a first live cash as you can get.

I still can't find complete event results online. Anyone have a link please share.

I ended up around 30th of the record breaking field of 721!!!

Speaking of the best, you're invited to the HU tournament. It won't be held at Thunder, but it's still a nice location.

Yea Ben had to step aside and let this Jeremy guy from HPT direct the tournaments. I think that he got some neg feedback for being "unprepared" last year. But imo, he did a far better job than Jeremy is doing. He knows the room, layout, players, dealers, etc. Much better. There is definitely a lot of confusion on the floor with this other guy. Also, event #1 should have been clicked back a level on day 2, started at lv 18? That changed my 20 bb stack to less than 15...f'd up my game. But congrats to Matt for getting 2nd

I talked to Ben yesterday, he told me he wanted all the feedback he can get, although when I mentioned 2+2 and the wealth of feedback he could get from grinders who play everyday, he just told me he wouldn't check the forums and would rather just have everyone come in person and talk to him

Seems like he really cares about TVs rep and wants it to be the best room possible, I mean that's his job and all, but I can tell he genuinely cares

I agree with all of this. I talked to Ben yesterday as well and told him that I appreciate the changes that they have made recently. I told him that myself and every other grinder that plays there is happy with the direction he is taking the room, and he seemed genuinely happy to hear that.

I have been very critical of Thunder Valley on this forum, but as I said in the beginning it was all out of love. I see such great potential with that room and was very frustrated and disappointed when simple changes weren't being made. Now that those changes have been implemented, I can honestly say that I am a very happy grinder.

Obviously the place isn't perfect, but no place is perfect. I really wish they had another room to run the larger field tournaments in so they could maximize cash game tables. Hopefully something will get worked out in the future. However they have added a lot of new tables and seem to have plenty of room for everything.

I am also a fan of the 5/5 game. It offers another game to play with a different dynamic, and so far it's not having a big negative effect on the 2/5 or 5/10 games. Hopefully this continues.

Also after playing yesterday's tournament it got me thinking: what do you guys think about a true Turbo tournament? I was thinking something in the $250-$500 range, with 15 or 20 minute levels, but well structured, would be awesome.

I think the WSOPC structure with 15 min levels would be sexy as ****. Something like.

15k starting stack, 15 min levels.
25/50, 50/100, 75/150, 100/200, 100/200/25, 150/300/25, 200/400/50, 250/500/50, 300/600/75, 400/800/75, 500/1000/100, 600/1200/100, 700/1400/200, 800/1600/200, 1k/2k/300, 1200/2400/300, 1500/3000/400, 2k/4k/500, 2.5k/5k/500, 3k/6k/1k, 4k/8k/1k, 5k/10k/1k, 6k/12k/2k, 8k/16k/2k, 10k/20k/3k, 12k/24k/3k, 15k/30k/4k, 20k/40k/4k, 25k/50k/5k, 30k/60k/5k, 40k/80k/10k, 50k/100k/10k etc etc

Damn I got a little carried away there. Wouldn't that be fun as hell? Tell me you wouldn't play that GO AHEAD LIE TO ME PEOPLE YOU CANT LIE TO YOURSELVES.
