Which one are you abarber? I don't play your games so never had the chance to guess.

This is starting to look like a dating site.

I actually met you once, abarber. We played at the same table in an O8 tourney at the GSR about 3 years ago. I'm not an experience O8 player and I tried to push you off a hand. It didn't work out for me.

There have also been people splashing chips around at 1-3 and 2-5 again (inlcuding lots of donking by myself ). People calling preflop $100 raises with ATo, $150 with KTo etc.

I'm the guy at Phoenix who likes to tell the young internet kids to follow me outside after they ask for my stack count 3 times while pretending they're not being smart asses.

When is the best day to visit Thunder Valley? I hear they've got different promotions every day.

Also what are some other good games to play other than poker? I don't believe in slot machines.

I hope you all don't mind the move to this subforum; I think that the posts in here are more in line with the reduced moderation we have in mind for this subforum. Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

The Derby has 1-2 pot limit Omaha (high only) on Friday evenings starting at 6pm. I believe they offer free dinner also. ($500 Max, forgot min.)

First time going to TV. How do rakes work? The poker receptionist said I had to pay $1 for every hand. So even if I don't want to play the hand I was dealt with pre-flop, I still have to pay $1? And when I do play these cards, do I just throw the rake money with the blinds?

Also, what if I won a nice pot and want to sit out or leave the table? Can one simply just leave with the money? Or am I suppose to stay at the table until they say its OK?

Only have to "pay" when in the blinds $3bb $1sb for a 1-3 game.

As far as winning big pot then cashing out is only allowed during the day hope this helps.

They don't collect $1 from every player for every hand. They take the rake out of the pot, just like in online poker.

You can get up and leave anytime you want. Just like in online poker.

what they said... plus the total rake is $5 though. They are taking an extra buck for the bonuses. Last time I think the low bonus was if 888QQ and up lose.

the small jackpot is always Aces full of tens losing to quads or better. The big jackpot is quad 7's losing to quad 8's or better. The 888QQ was likely the "Hot hand" which pays 200 and increases in 200 increments each day it goes unhit.
