On another note. Anyone going to Reno to play those GSR donkaments? Im interested in buying some small sweat pieces (5-10%). PM me is interested.

Where is all the 5-10 action? Played 1 session last wednesday, but have been hearing the games been rather dead.

JerrysW- what kind of games did they spread up at the Creek?

I did not play any poker, actually just drank. But During the brief stroll thru the poker room it looked like all Holdem. But I only saw half the tables. Lots of 2-5 games, with big money on the table.

Just read through the enitre thread and thanks to eveyone for their thoughts on all the sac area casinos.

I live in Auburn. I mostly play at thunder valley in both the dailey MTTs and 1/3 cash with occiasional shots at 2/5 (up about $2200 there). Would play more 2/5 if I had the bankroll but Im extremely strict with BM. Overall I really dig the casino but the dealers are slow and screw up a lot as mentioned before.

By far the best thing in this thread is TheGreenMile's avatar.

has anyone played the casino royale tournaments where everyone at the final table gets the same amount of chips, same as cash?

Whats the strategy for this tournament? How often does it play?

I been there once and it was last week.

From what the director told me, once everyone gets to the final table they get $300 bucks and can leave with whatever amount of chips at any point. Sounds like a plain stupid tourney to me.

Long time lurker..first time poster. I lived and played in Sacramento but moved down to southern california for work about 18 months ago. I just moved back to the area about 2 months ago and the landscape has really changed in a short time. What has happened to the Capitol Casino? That place has completely fallen off the map. I have been there 4 times since I have been back and each time there has been no 2-5 game being spread. They used to have 1-2 action packed deep 2-5 games going before I moved. With no 2-5 the only options are very nitty looking 1-3 games and a what looks to be a horrid looking 5-10 game. I recognized most of the guys playing 5-10 and it looked to be mostly friends and a ton of props playing. They don't even spread 9-18 lhe any more which used to be action packed at least. I haven't been out to Thunder Valley but from this thread and everything I am hearing on the street that is where the games are now. I live on the other side of town so not crazy about driving 45 min to play but it looks to be the only option.

I was down there on Saturday night and there were 2-3 2/4 (100-200 BI) games running, 1-2 2/5 games, and a 5/10 game with some decently deep stacks.

Not to mention some limit games, but I didn't pay attention to those.

I was in the 2/4 game and it was reasonably soft, nothing exceptional but definitely worth sitting at.

Haha no, were they buddies or something? Both of them looked like idiots, the drunk bald guy was nearly incoherent.

I wish I had the roll to play higher than the 2/4 100-200 game

I think I'll be skipping the series, but I would also be interested in buying a piece of people who have good results.

Regarding the 5-10, I'm thinking we need to just go start HU and then people will come sit when they see the 2 biggest fish going at it.

Since when are you a fish? Royale will have the 5/10 running again just as soon as they are all back from vegas... which is very very soon.

The funny thing is that most who play in that game think I'm a fish, which is pretty awesome.

There were 2 games before the WSOP: Royale and Capitol. It would seem the Royale game has not started up again yet. Do you live in Sac? I feel like I have played with you online before.

I think your confusing sarcasm with truths when discussing Barbers skill. I confirm abarber = fish. That was me last wednesday night that just got back, i was in the 9 hole, & you must have been the 6 or 7 seat, from Stockton?

I live in Davis but I know most of the Sac grinders, most online and some live grinders. I haven't really played too high yet live, but plan on doing so soon. Waiting for some scouting reports. I played the Thunder Valley 5/10 when it was good in the beginning of May and took some skrill out of that game but other than that, been laying low.

I was UCDLaCrosse on FTP, played 100nl FR and also 200nl/400nl FR Rush. Also I make training vids on grinderschool.

ya that was me from stockton bro.im down to start a deep plo game if anyones in as long as we can get a few players also if you play short there they reduce the rake so its a good spot some of the time.
