I'm almost certain the cage cashier probably put your tips intended for the tournament dealers in the tip boxes the people who work in the cage split.

Tourney newb. Do you get foxwoods reward points for tournament entries and do they track hours/play in tournaments for black card membership?

I think it's like a dollar or something for 120s or a couple of dollars. Unless it's something they changed recently

I know at one time they gave 1.5 points for the standard tournaments. Don't know if they still do.

Means HIGH COLLECTION, used at big games. You CANNOT be signed out at these games and you continue earning points even if away from table and dealer put you in lobbby by making your seat light blink. I thought it was because your paying time, but not sure if the high stud games pay time. (I didn't ask that detailed a question from asst manager)

Correct. 75/150 players pay time. Collection is short for Time Collection.

I got an email that starting today the entrance to the Pequot garage is closed (probably because they'll be doing blasting/construction right by there). From the map it looks like they might be making the garage exit 2-way or they're letting people drive through the Cedar valet entrance to the garage. If anybody parks in that garage can you explain the new way to get in?

Was going to post the same thing. I won't be there until Wednesday to find out. Hopefully it does not create any unnecessary traffic delays.

I'm thinking about trying the NL cashgames at Foxwoods and had a couple of questions since I've never played live cash at a casino. (Played some tournaments but way back in 2005 or something like that.)

1) Is it obvious when I show up how to get seated in a game? Waiting list or just find an empty seat myself?
2) How do you get chips and how do you reload if you get stacked or fall below 100bb's? Can I have extra chips in my pocket and just keep topping off my stack kind of like an on-line auto-reload?
3) What is a normal/standard tip (assuming $1 unless a huge pot) and do people tip for pots that don't see a flop? If this question is too broad I'll just figure it out after observing what other players do.
4) The Foxwoods webset says "$100 bills play for NL but other bills don't." Does that mean I can just add to my stack with $100 bills when I want to?
5) I won't be very comfortable playing over 200bb's deep. I've heard/read that taking chips off the table is poor etiquite, maybe even against the rules (going south or whatever). But is it ok to leave the table and go back to a waiting list or another table and start at 100bb's again or is that still scummy?

Thanks for the help. I did some searches and I'm sure some of these answers must be buried in the results but I couldn't find much easily.

-Go to desk and ask to get on list.....if open seating they will let you know.

2) How do you get chips and how do you reload if you get stacked or fall below 100bb's? Can I have extra chips in my pocket and just keep topping off my stack kind of like an on-line auto-reload?

-You "can" buy chips from the dealer, but they sometimes ask you to buy from the cage. Once you have been playing, you can usually buy more from the dealer. Yes, you can have chips in your pocket to top off with.

3) What is a normal/standard tip (assuming $1 unless a huge pot) and do people tip for pots that don't see a flop? If this question is too broad I'll just figure it out after observing what other players do.

-I would say no standard tip. Some don't tip.....some tip every pot won....some only if pot is decent size. Whatever your comfortable with.

4) The Foxwoods webset says "$100 bills play for NL but other bills don't." Does that mean I can just add to my stack with $100 bills when I want to?

-Yea, as long as that doesn't put you over the table max BuyIn amount.

5) I won't be very comfortable playing over 200bb's deep. I've heard/read that taking chips off the table is poor etiquite, maybe even against the rules (going south or whatever). But is it ok to leave the table and go back to a waiting list or another table and start at 100bb's again or is that still scummy?

-Illegal to take chips off the table. Some would say poor etiquette, to leave one table and go to another, and put chips in your pocket. (might be technically illegal....but rarely enforced, and hard for floor to manage. Some call it Rat-holeing) - your call.

Thanks for the help. I did some searches and I'm sure some of these answers must be buried in the results but I couldn't find much easily.
1) Waiting list. There's a counter with a screen where you ask to be put on the list with your initials.
2) There's a cage to pick up chips. There are minimum chips depending on what game you play. $20 bills don't count so if you played a hand with 100bb but some were in $20 bills, you'll have to argue the floor (I've seen it before in an all-in hand).
3) $1 a winning hand is normal, even at 5/10. Bigger pots you tip more obv. I'll do $5-15 for $2000+
4) Yes. And before a hand starts you should ask how many bills people are playing if you are unsure. And when you leave your seat for break you can announce how many bills you're removing to bring back later.
5) Scummy imo. If you pick up you have to wait 1 hour to get seated again but that's still pretty lame to do.

You can change tables whenever you want, when you do you are considered a new player at the new table and have to buy in within the tables limits. Only if you want to get back on the same table you left do you have to comeback with what you left with, within an one hour time span. Not illegal to change tables and nobody's business if you want to. Come play cards, feel comfortable, and have fun.

Technically, I don't think it's w/in the rules to request a "table change", pick up $200 from table (A), and immediately sit down at table (B) with anything less.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Unfortunately you are wrong and there are many annoying people who do this at 2/5nl. You are not allowed to bring your whole stack if it is more than the max buy in but there is no rule against sitting down with less than what you had.

Annoying player that stacks his chips in 25s buys in for $200 at table A, gets lucky enough to double up or maybe even get up to $500...Immediate table change to table B one of the other 3 2/5 games going. No rhyme or reason for the switch except to siphon money off the table.
