I thought is was expensive. $4.50 for a slice with one topping. They leave the pies under heat lamps for you to see, did not look appetizing more dried out when I walked by.

Deli sandwich's were around $11.00.

The fish place had a clam plate for about $16. I'd go for that if they were whole belly like you'd get at Kellys.

I don't get the price points if they are trying to get traffic in from the outlet malls once they open. (i think the food court reopened at MGM is also pricey) I wonder if the premium outlets they are opening are discount outlets like Kittery, Clinton Commons, or Wrentham, or Premium means higher priced stores like Newbury Street.
Well that sucks because Regina has yummy pizzas. I always assume that a casino location will be lesser quality than a diff location but the heat lamp thing/dried out pizza makes me sad

I'll defer to your knowledge, but when I go to Wrentham, I usually get my Addidas, Nike or Puma's cheaper than if I got to Legacy Place or Patriots Place, or the Burlington Mall. There are bargains to be had at Wrentham

You can order a whole pie for I think $21, Not sure if that is with a topping or just a cheese, but a least you can have it made and get it just out of the oven

Foxwoods seriously needs to step up their tournament game.. Borgata obviously owns the east coast but Foxwoods used to draw huge fields too. Idk why Foxwoods and Bernard Lee parted ways but at least he tried to jump start the tourney scene a couple years ago. Now with whojedi gone Foxwoods is gonna get even less coverage then before.

inb4 "cardplayer poker tour is coming in february blah blah.." structure looks like garbage IMO

Is this the end?

Parx has also been kicking FW's ass in Poker Tournaments. FW structures are the WORST.

Foxwoods consistently offers Smaller Starting Stacks, Faster Levels, More rapidly increasing blind structures, and don't use auto shufflers for their daily tournaments.....all add up to less value to the player than what you get even at Mohegan Sun tourneys.

And it's not even comparable to Borgata or Parx.

Problem is, they just don't give a rats ass about player feedback. Play or don't play. They don't care.

Massachusetts and additional NewYork Poker Rooms may change that.....or may not. Only time will tell.

If you get a comped room on thurs night, will they let you use your 2nd comped night on friday night at foxwoods?
Quote

Your offers should say what nights our comped rooms are good for. Generally, only the highest tiers get Friday nights comped, which poker players only get if they play table games( a lot of table games)

Haters are going be haters is it perfect no.. But I played both the 11 & 6pm yesterday after not playing since end of November. The Floors work hard they should look into putting auto shufflers but don't forget that auto shufflers break down. As for skipping levels and the like the 11am ended in a 8 way chop sometime around 10pm for a one day tournament I'd say thats a ton of play & value for $400 bucks. the 6pm was still two tables at midnight for a evening turbo that's good.

When I first started playing tournaments in 98 they were limit hold-em events that had 1500 starting chips and would only last 3 hours at best for about the same price point as the daily 6pm's that Foxwoods run.

Have you seen what you get at most the casino's in Vegas daily tournaments wise?

the 11am got what 125 entrants ? on a day when inland got snow so probably a lot of people decided to just stay home.

the 6pm was a 134 entrants.

They could of made the 11am a two day event but then today is NFL conference championship weekend so I don't see how much more entrants they would of got.

Add in that there is a big poker series going on in AC (who by the way the casino running it is probably going get a huge black mark on there tournaments with Chip gate going on.)

Anyone suffer a reduction in the number of points eligible for cash?
I just noticed a huge point difference
My total points didn't change but the number of points that qualified for cash went down significantly

Are you sure it went down? When was the last time you looked? Any free points you redeem at the desk/kiosk aren't eligible for cash. FWIW I don't have a reduction.

It's not hating. Just compare to Mohegan Sun. Compare any apples to apples tourney.....any similar BI event, and you will see MS consistently offers deeper starting stacks, longer levels, and more gradually progressing levels. In addition to auto shufflers (which rarely breakdown), the value to the player is clear.

Mohegan Sun offers better tournaments.
Foxwoods is still the king of Cash Games.

Maybe on paper. But in term of enjoyability of playing I'd say Foxwoods wins. I personally can't stand MS's room only thing I like over there is the chairs.

MS honestly beats Foxwoods in lots of stuff for me personally it's where I'd rather eat and gamble for fun but when it comes to Poker and the Racebook Foxwoods tops MS in my eyes. But I tend to be a creature of habit.

I miss the days of having both! At least I have the free rooms still, although for March I get all properties except Pequot, which is $69.

How does MGM Grand compare to Two Trees ?

Just got my 1st comped room that was "non" two" trees.

In the past at two trees, instead of a Credit Card deposit, they have always allowed $100 cash deposit. Will MGM Grand do the same ?

If I only play poker, is it worth staying in the MGM Grand ?

While Two Trees is kind of...oh I don't know....eerie.....I at least found it quiet, and easy to park and get into/out of.....

thoughts ???

you trolling? you should look on tripadvisor or something before asking. MGM Grand is arguably the best hotel in Foxwoods. Two Trees is just a step up from a motel imo

MGM rooms are pretty good. its like a 10-15 min walk to poker room. Im not sure about deposit but I usually just put points up or my credit card.

its weird for my point offers in February I get 50 points 4 days a week then one random Wednesday I get 100. I guess I should go down more
