I feel the exact opposite way. To me 30 points is $30 and 30 BSP is a little less. It all depends whether or not you spend money on things anyway that you could apply points to.

You are right about the bus service from New London, Conn. Amtrak station to Foxwoods. It is the SEAT bus #108 which leaves Water Street New London every two hours on the even hours and leaves Foxwoods every two hours on the odd hours or so I can ascertain from the SEAT schedule. Time of this trip is 55 minutes.

About when do people get offers for May? Do I still have time to put in a few long sessions to try and get rooms for Foreigner May 5?

Rooms or tickets? The window for May rooms is closed... high ranked players should see May room offers tomorrow, and everyone else in a week or so. Typically only mid to high ranked players get show tickets (this would exclude most poker players).

For April? Strange... I was sure it was a universal cutback.

Thanks, Lattmier. I missed it because it was just one post and nobody else mentioned it at all again until over a week later. Funny because there was tons of discussion about it here before it went into affect.

Haven't been to the 'Woods since '12, happy to read about all the positive changes to the $2/$5 games - adding BBJ, moving the games to the middle of the room, etc. Seems like it will be an even better experience than before!

And reading about moving the entire room upstairs to where the current asian section is is interesting. At first I hated the idea, but almost immediately came to like it - I think it will be an improvement. Being closer to the tournament area will hopefully make SnGs go more often again, and being on the same floor as the rest of Foxwoods will hopefully draw more randoms too. I am concerned that it will be smokier, louder, and have less TVs though.

Will there really be more daylight? I am trying to remember, doesn't that area of the casino only have windows on the emergency exit doors?

The windows upstairs go the length of the wall and up to the ceiling which is high itself. The ceiling downstairs is fairly low in comparison and the room is deep. If you get past the overhang there is zero natural light over there. Upstairs the natural light will permeate the entire room.

I'll throw another monkey wrench. I got 2 free rooms sun.-thurs. in February but didn't use any as I wasn't in town. March it was 59 and 15 points 2x a month. Now in April I have the 2 free sun.-thurs at two trees. And 29 at MGM along with 15 points a week. I can't figure them out at all.

Well your rank (and thus offers) is based on a different time frame month to month, so it can fluctuate like that. What I meant was that the ranks that gave out weekly points of 100, 50, 30, 15 now give 70, 40, 25, 10 instead. But it seems that might be a little wrong based on the couple here saying they have 15 points for April. I've talked to about a dozen people not on this board who all saw the exact dropoff I described (including myself).

Which tournament do you guys think is better on Sunday? Mohegan or Foxwoods?

I haven't been to the Woods in a while and live in MA, and my only offers on the website for me right now are $59 GPT/GCH/MGM rooms for non-weekends in March, and 10 points twice a month for March and April

FWIW, and just to add to the confusion, I had been getting 30 pts/wk for at least a couple of years, but was cut to 15 in March. Then I was raised back to 30 for April. I can only speculate that this was because I played some short days in Dec-Jan, and then some marathons in Feb. (????)

I got downgraded from 30 a week to 20 rather than 25 like prizminferno. Maybe it partially has to do with what tier you are?

I dont understand how some people get like 30 per week (or did). If I got 30/wk+, I would never have to pay for gas ever again.

As for this pt situation, it is truly strange. Someone should go to a rewards desk and see if the policy has changed or something.

Has nothing to do with tier.

Point offers are based on your rank, which is mostly based on your ADT and comp usage. So even poker-only players could get that high depending. Rewards desk won't tell you, they don't know. Hosts know but again they won't tell you. They don't want patrons knowing how things work.

Ya your tier card doesn't have much to do with your offers. I have a royal card and have seen my weekly points drop every few months since this past summer. April is 10 points for me lol..
