He answered the question, then made a joke. The joke is "Thanks, <insert current president here>" because the president often gets credited/blamed for things he's not directly responsible for, so people take it to absurd extremes. JFC I can't believe I had to explain that.

The joke was actually thanking Obama for killing Christmas itself, but clearly that is way too many levels up for some folks ITT :-\

Are you saying an old lady took a dump all over the poker room? Like how does that happen? I mean I understand how it can happen, but like it wasn't just contained to her and her cloths?

Has anyone gotten their February hotel offers yet? I usually have mine before now but haven't received anything yet, wondering if they aren't out yet or if I'm getting shafted by the tribe.

Not out yet. Except for last month, which seemed to be an anomaly I guess, they've been coming out around this time for several months now (1 week later than the way it used to be).

I got a letter yesterday for January promos: 2 free nights + $30 dinner + 30 points.

do free hotel rooms open up at the last minute? trying to book for 2 days the week following xmas.

Sometimes. That's a tough week though because a lot of people have the week off and are using theirs.

I've seen rooms open up within a day or two after not being available for weeks checking regularly. They have a 48 hour cancellation policy, so I am assuming if they have a higher volume of cancellations, they may open some more rooms.

I've had the same results

sorry if this has been answered -

how much play is needed in order to be offered weekend hotel rooms. currently offered 2 weekday but tough for me to come out during the week because of work. any way to call them up and negotiate?

thanks

There will never be an official answer as Foxwoods does not announce this, and it's not always consistent. The general answer will be to have a massive daily point total average. Playing poker alone has not usually brought weekend rooms to players except on rare occasions. Playing slots and in the pits heavily will increase your chances.

Gold 900 tier pts
Platinum 4800 tier pts
Diamond 32000 tier pts

1 reward pt == 4 tier pts

What was the points for 1/2, 2/5, 5/10 NL play?

Trying to figure out how long in hours it will take to get to each tier

I believe those 3 games get 1.7 reward pts/hr now. So that would be 6.8 tier pts/hr.

Gold - 133 hrs
Platinum - 706 hrs
Diamond - 4706 hrs

Thanks Lat. when did it go to 1.7? Should the OP first post be updated?

Also it looks like you will need to choose the accelerator option to get to diamond.

accelerator doesn't apply to poker

Yeah even if it did, the extra 30% would still require 3600 hours. Doesn't look like poker players are getting to that level

I updated the FAQ with the new point rate, and removed the section about the black card

Lat,
I assume you are a FW reg. You a young or old guy? I see a lot of regulars but most of them don't seem the moderator type.

I prefer not to identify myself, but I'm not a regular in the poker room.
