What will the room traffic be like on Halloween? Busier than a normal Monday night or dead?

I was there last year on Halloween, which was a Sunday. The room pretty much died around 7:00 and was slow action thereafter. Although some people were playing in costume which was totally surreal.

I was there last Halloween and I thought that it was pretty busy. Everyone knows that the BBJ hits every Halloween

Not me

How many hrs/week I gotta play to get some free rooms? I think I'm around 20hrs right now

I got the free room offers as well and grabbed some right away. First time I have had free ones in a long time.

I thought the cancellation policy was only 24 hours before, but when I booked I saw it was 48. Is this a recent change?

While total hours do matter, it's more about your average hours. If you do all 20 hours in 1 day, that's a 30 pt/day average. That'll get you some rooms. If you do it across 5 days, that's a 6 pt/day average. That'll get you squat.

When were you playing 5/10? I always play wearing a Skynyrd hoodie of some capacity .

And nice job xpired, hope to see you at the tables more! I have been sporadically between 5/10 and 10/20 and 10/25, but when the action settles, I will be back to the 5/10s consistently.

Unless Mixer wants to go heads up for more.

I am so mad at Two Trees. I stayed there last wed night. I was told I could get early check in. I triple checked with the girl and she confirmed it. They ended up charging me twice on my debit card. It was 6 o'clock in the morning on wednesday after playing 2/5 all night with some Spanish 21 and 1/2 before that. A woman at Grand Pequot said that Two Trees was on Wed's time and I should ask for early check in. So I did. Was told I was all set and she swiped my card twice within a minute(I was told by PayPal.) I disputed the charge and Paypal credited me back pending dispute. So glad I used my paypal debit. If you don't have one get one imo.

When I called TT to dispute I got a complete moran on the phone. Same girl two days in a row.She also accused me today of saying that I said she didn't speak good english last night which is complete BS and I am glad I can probably get the phone conversation recorded and prove her wrong. There is no way I would ever say something like that. She was dumb as rocks but I didn't say anything about her English.... God I hate people. I had ten good experiences at TT before this one. I am pretty sure it will work out but still a pain in the ass to deal with.

Thinking about trying Prime or Craft in the next few weeks... Any suggestions on which to choose? Also what are everyone's must haves off of the menu for steak. Lastly, can you use your dream points at either of these places to foot the bill?

prime is my favorite steak spot in the state...not just for the food but also for the atmosphere and the workers are usually all great...and i live in hartford where we have max's, mortons, grants, and ruth chris...any steak here is good, i've tried a few different ones...yes, you can use dream points to pay...oh yea, the popovers they serve with butter before your meal are the bomb

So if we normally play 12 he sessions it's bad to log 4 hr session comp wise after a tournament for example ?

And what about a 12 hr session with one hour after 12 in the morning?

Where's the line here sounds like if I'm not gonna play much I should log a 16 to 20 hr session just one day in a month so I get room comps.

I don't mean to be a pain here but the way you phrased this just makes me ask how are poker room rates calculated. Tournaments in the equation ?

I heard some guy called Frankie Flowers a sp*** (Derogitory term for hispanic people), and then Frankie Flowers put a MMA choke hold on the guy.

Frankie Flowers got the Foxwoods “lifetime” ban.

I didn't hear what provoked it, but I also heard about the choke and ban.

If you normally play 12 hour sessions, simply playing a tournament is bad. That means you normally have 18 pt gaming days and then suddenly have a 1.5 pt day (or however many you get for a tourney). Playing cash afterward would help.

Quote:

Well the gaming day begins/ends at 6am, not midnight. But yeah, if you have a 12 hour session from 7pm-7am, that's going to show up as 16.5 pts the 1st day and 1.5 pts the 2nd day, for a 9 pt average.

I don't know where the line is. Believe me I wish I did. Sure you can do that and *might* get some mid-week rooms, but of course you'd only be using them once/month.

Yes tournaments count. Room rates are based on your casino player rating, which are based on a number of factors, most importantly point average and point total. Everything revolves around the points you earn.
