Traffic is way down and the biggest shoe has yet to drop. I'd say most people were right, in that the room would no longer be the center of the New England poker scene. Of course it will still exist, but not like it once was.

Damn we made it like four posts before their possible demise was brought up again....

I think the hh promos are why it’s hitting so freq. players not folding suited connectors

If it is BoDiddleyMacau, the room will be in very good hands. He was jonesing to come to New England years ago so I am hopeful. If not, I'm sure the manager will be brought up to speed about the local market quickly or will be replaced.

This is an interesting theory. It very well may be the case.

- What differ the 2/5 most from the 1/2 games at Foxwoods?
- What is standard open sizing and what is standard 3bet sizing IP/OOP?
- What days/time of day is (usually) the games best?
- Is it profitable to bluff players or do they call down very light?
- Is it profitable to implement 4bet bluff range in normal games vs regs?

Thanks!!
Most of your questions are too vague to provide reasonable/helpful answers to, but the main difference between 1/2 and 2/5 at FW imo, is that preflop gets a bit nittier/more aggro - but nowhere near to the point that you'd want to implement 4bet bluffs as a standard in the 'normal' games against most opponents.

Friday/Saturday night games are by far the best across the board, but the weekday reg games are pretty decent as well if your 150bb+ postflop game is solid for live low stakes.

Has anyone ever stayed there on New Years Eve? Looking to maybe do it next year, but do they offer anything for play in room discounts? I know its probably their highest room rate of the year. Just curious...

It's priced similar to whatever your player rate is for a typical Saturday, maybe a little more depending on when you look (daily fluctuations). I stayed at Fox Tower the other night for $129.

All the OMCs were talking about it being fox tower at my table this morning. That and boycotting foxwoods until they get more comps and less violence, and most amazingly....I got to watch the bb open fold q10s to a single mp limp that folded around to him. He then explained to us that it's the best move to do that and leave the $2 on the table rather than check and let the casino have it.

Wow. I don't know what else to say.

Isnt Foxwoods still the best comps in New England for poker players? And they want MORE?! I also doubt Encore will match FW in comps so Idk what they expect.

Jeepers, I was thinking of making a change of scenery from Twin and driving down there this Saturday. Now I'm reading about boycotts and stabbings.
Anyone want to convince me to come down anyways? I'm a fish

Go north to chasers for a change of scenery. Better action for fish like yourself. They even have a logo featuring you.

That's what they live for. Do any of them smile or look like they're having a good time?

No. The only time they're happy is when they can prove they know more obscure poker rules than another player.

It goes to another level of happiness when the dealer is wrong and they're right! Happy Gilmore's happy place.

Lol. You mean to say, the fish aren't welcome?
How do you guys expect to make money?
I wasn't kidding.
But what am I to do now with my 100 bucks in comp points?
Besides, the further north, the colder this time of year.
We're not in the desert!
