lol @ bravo man, completely ridiculous-2 seconds plopping down next to me this one time

"Could you square up your chair behind your cupholder immediately because you are 2 inches off center and i need all the room I can to establish myself and spread my gigantic body all over the table"

insert countless stories about how he's so awesome about sucking tons of free **** out of foxwoods. does whatever he can to not play any hands except the stone cold nuts and live off comps.

Sore spot with me too.
Anyone who tries to stop you from getting that extra 1/100th comp point by getting you in lobby asap is pond scum. He is not the only one who does this too.
If I see someone come back from break and they or dealer don't 'put them back in' i'll speak up, and others players do too, but I guess some just love to deny players the least meager comp possible. Dealers will accidentally hit buttons on and off too

Mental Note: When someone drops dead in the poker room within the first half hour of you getting there, you should probably go home.

I was expecting to see it on foxwoodslive.com, but apparently it's not running for this series?

I saw the commotion, wasn't sure what happened though/didn't care enough to get up and go look.

From what I heard an old guy kicked it, or at least had a heart attack or something of that variety over in the stud tables, I think the 60s...the old tournament area. I'm an EMT myself so old people dying doesn't really pique my interest.

Did they actually die though?

I think it was about 630 or 7 last night someone dropped in the tourney area. Old guy, I guess. I was near the check in desk when they started hollaring for security, 911, etc. When I was smoking a few hours later they said they couldn't revive him, but that's second hand info. Saw them holding sheets around him while they were working on him, but I think that's standard.

That's what I figured... I saw him walking around while I was looking at one of the WSOP final table archives from the other day.

Think it was a little earlier, probably 5-530, cause I left at 6:30, and it happened a good hour or so before that. That's just semantics though.

The sheets thing...not standard unless they're in deep **** AFAIK. Dude was probably hypoxic and cyanotic. Didn't want anyone to see that/wanted to clear some space for the guy since half the knuckleheads in the room ventured over to see what's going on.

I could be wrong, but I believe that's where they do the really low limit stud now.. 1/3, 1-5, and possibly 5/10?

I played a lot of stud last year. That makes sense because where I used to play stud it was a ghost town.

340 players. The 6pm $120 drew just over that at 345 I believe. The place was packed at 6pm, they were running out of tables upstairs.

Made it to day 2 in the 600 mega. Average chip stack 265k. My chip stack 265k. 32 left out of 340.

Some guy asked the floor if he could check on room availability. They did and said only room available was for 599. GL to anyone else on 2p2 still left.

It's kind of funny when you think about it. They obviously had a room since they quoted a price, it's not like they are going to wake someone up that has a free room kick them out so they can give you a room for $600. and unless the asian bus is showing up with a full load of people at 1:00 that are going to rush the hotel for rooms, they probably are not going to sell the room that night, the idea that you will pay $600 for 8 hours of sleep and a shower rather than drive home instead, got them (i am guessing) no revenue and an empty room for the night instead.

and another satisfied customer that if he had any other option to play would take his business elsewhere in a heartbeat.

(you could have taken a cab to atlantic city for cheaper than the room) or actually and more seriously if you were to tired to drive home, could have take a cab home and back for much less than $600)

unless the room came with a happy ending!

hell yea, take it down dude!

I had the same thing happen to me on new years eve a year or two ago. I was crashing in my friends room but decided to check if there was an extra room available on the off chance it was fairly priced... 3am and they told me 600$! I would only have had the room for 8 hours, that's 75$ an hour. I instantly told the lady at the desk "no and she said "well what about 399$?" as if we're in some flea market....
