Well, yeah that much is a given. I don't do it with it like on the rail or anything. Usually in my lap or backed up a little.

Of course, I've nearly taken out a couple of waitresses backing my chair up while texting, haha.

Now my ancient ass Zune, on the other hand, like clockwork at least once a night, has either a dealer or floor tell me to put it away cause they think it's a phone of some kind. The thing is enormous, and it's really annoying to keep it in my pocket. Another instance of my being too cheap to upgrade.

sidenote: Has the 1/2 PLO game been going the last couple days anyone? I've got a rare busy week at work cause of Easter this weekend. Normally I work like 15-20 hours, this week I have 45, so I haven't had a chance/won't have a chance to come down until next week probably.

hopefully this doesn't get flamed but due to the recent developments in online poker, Im considering transitioning to live for the foreseeable future. I currently live in new hampshire and cannot move permanently for at least a year but the commute is too long for me to do everyday (around 2.5 hours), can anyone give me a list of relatively safe towns within 20-25 minutes of foxwoods that they would recommend for me to get an apartment in, I wouldn't be living there fulltime (3-5 days a week) and don't need something super nice but I do value living in a safe area. Also, any other suggestions about what to do about my commute problem would be appreciated, Ive looked at cheap hotels within a half hour and it doesn't seem like a viable option long term as it will definitely eat up too much of my profits.

Yea, I think beata is referring to an underage girl who hit the bbj and got caught. Don't know what happen to her tho...

Stonington, Mystic, Pawcatuck, Noank, Westerly are all nice "safe" areas, avoid new london and groton is pretty meh

Harassed by the same nits. One of a few problems playing 1/2.

Agreed. Off-season in Westerly you can rent a cheap room at a Misquamicut Beach motel. If you aren't a creep, email the Seashell motel and say maggie sent you. Still only 15 minutes to the Rainmaker garage. If you are a creep, call someone else.

I love hearing about this all the time still (although not as much as the first few months after) but there always seems to be someone at the table who "knows" about it and likes to talk about it like there the expert on the situation. Every time I have heard it, it seems to be a different story. Everywhere ranging from they ended up giving it to her, to they settled for some amount, to she got sentenced to probation, to she is banned for life from Foxwoods AND on a list so she can't go to any other casinos and sorts of other scenarios. Gotta love poker players!

I figure she needed therapy from what they did to her in the basement. Old people talking you through forms shuts off parts of the brain.

If anyone seriously is moving down there to play full time, live as close as you can. Those roads can be a nightmare in the winter and the extra minutes will really add up.

If you must live in New London, pick your neighborhood carefully.

As someone said there are plenty of areas. I would avoid both Norwich and New London. Mystic is really nice and you may get lucky and find a 1 BR. or an efficiency. Groton is fine too. There also also a few condo and apmnt complexes in Ledyard with rentals and they are 5 minutes from FW. No matter where you decide your rent will most likely be 800+

If only those gossip spreading poker players knew about 2+2, they would realize that Beata was not sentenced to eternity in purgatory and thus will remain at Mohegan forever, but rather is back among us playing ze cards.

I'm another who is going to be at Foxwoods much more now and over the summer, looking forward to meeting some of you posting regs and hopefully gaining knowledge discussing hands etc.

I'm always down to play 1/2 or 2/5 PLO so count me in if I'm there for a list.

I'll be there Saturday night sure, and MAYBE tomorrow night as well. Also possibly Sunday evening, unless Thurs and Sat are both losing sessions and I don't feel like taking another beating

Dumb question: I get postcards in the mail all the time saying I can get 10 free dream points this week, etc. Do I have to go to one of the dream card desks and have an employee swipe my card in order to get them? Or can I do it in one of the kiosks somehow? I assume I must do the former cause those desks always have insanely long lines...

You can use the kiosk.

So why are there always such huge lines at those desks? What are all those people waiting to do?

No one playing in the 11am $180 Saturday?

you need a pin number to do it at the kiosk.

Heading down now, if not already started I will be starting a

1-2 plo8

1-2 plo high only

and if they let me a

1 -2 plo8/plo rotation game

since the 5-10 lo8 with a full kill is making a comeback that will kill the 1-2 plo8 game for the most part, same group of players, (myself included) there will be a much bettter chance that the plo high only or rotation game will go.

Saturday we had 2 5-10 lo8 games, one plo8 game that went until 6:00 am and one plo high only that went until 3:30 am. (the limit game broke around midnight)
