This promo has seriously been executed so seamlessly. I’ve never seen more than 15 on the 1/3 list because they are constantly opening new tables.

Happenned to me too. 2 OMCs at the table got legit mad at me and asked the other players if they could reach an agreement to kick me out of the game. The angrier they were getting, the more I was raising. It was a fun hour. I thought one of them would have a heart attack.

Lol. We're very disruptive to their game of high hand hunting.

low/mid stakes mix game momentum seems to have died. no games called last weekend and yesterday the 20/40 list had 13 people and when the list was called I was the only one who showed up. c'mon everyone, triple draw is so much more fun than hold em!!

Was the only one to show up at an O8 game they called yesterday.
if you want to play mixed games this Sunday morning or afternoon (provided that I busted from the tourney) I am game.

Question to the community about Hendon Mob and Encore Boston:
i was fortunate enough to chop yesterday's 200$ tournament and was wondering if Encore Boston Harbor already synced with Hendon Mob to pass them the results of tournaments. I heard one of the floors mentioning they were working on it a month ago but didn't hear since then.

Isn’t the EV just 1/[(# of eligible tables)*(# of players per table)]*(promo $ per hour)?

For EBH last night with 45 tables that’s 1/(45*9)*3000=$7.41/hr EV

For comparison:
Chasers has 7 tables right now for $400/hr
1/(7*9)*400=$6.35/hr EV

BBCC has 5 tables right now for $300/hr (minimum, can win more based on qualifier)
1/(5*9)*300=$6.67+/hr EV

MGM has 15 tables right now for $500/hr
1/(15*9)*500=$3.70/hr EV

Actual EV will vary throughout the day by location, but folks should realize it’s a simple calculation. While $1k every 20 minutes sounds awesome, the EV is in line with other places.

TL;DR Go where the games are good, regardless of promos

I was playing 4/8 the other day. Announcement comes "Dealers, this is the last hand of the current session. Current high hand is quad treys.".

One limper to me, I look down to Qc, Qd. Raise it up from the hijack, cutoff re-raises, blinds fold, limper folds, I 4 bet, cutoff makes it 5 bets and I call.

Flop is 4d, 8d, Qh. Gin. I'd been sitting next to cutoff for a few hours and that was the first hand he 3-bet let alone 5-bet. He only has A,A here. So I check call the flop, check raise the turn (a mistake here? If he folds I don't see the river). He calls and the river is Qs. I lead out, he disgustedly calls and I show him all the Queens.

I'm already mentally spending the money. Floor comes over to verify the hand and just then the table next to us erupts in cheers, the floor turns to that table, looks down, turns back to me and shakes his head "nope". Quad effing Kings.

no because some games are easier to make high hands than other games because you see a lot more turns and rivers

They need to get a Limit Host. Someone who has everyone's phone # and can organize the games. Right now it's a battle between those that want to play higher and those that don't. The 20-40 holdem is with a half kill and pretty much every hand is 30-60 with tons of action. That's good if you're rolled for it but not enough people are. Personally I think 15-30 and 30-60 would work better.

8/16 mix game was called last night and one other person showed up besides me so at least there's some progress. We could definitely use some organization to get the people who want to play that game regularly in the house at the same time. I'm guessing the 80/160 and 150/300 players do some sort of coordination because there's almost always one of those running

There were 2 20/40 mix games today. One of them was playing HOETB and only lasted about 2 hours before it broke. The other one was only playing Stud Hi/Omaha Hi and then OE I think and lasted a lot longer. At one point the floor guy came over and got mad that there were 2 very different mixes, and going forward he said they would only allow multiple mix games if they were similar and one was a must move. He kinda had a point in that our game (HOETB) broke quickly and no one wanted to go to the other game cause it wasn't a true mix, but the mix game player pool is so small that I feel like if everyone agrees on the games, the floor doesn't need to legislate any further

Are you still not allowed to bring backpacks into this place? Anyone know?

Nah, I've shown up with my gym bag plenty of times and just keep it behind my seat. It's pretty big too.

Ironically the only time I have been spoken to about leaving items on the ground is when I put my water bottle there (on 2 different occasions). The floor grabbed a table for me because they didn't want anyone tripping over my bottle, but nobody has ever said a thing about my bag.

I played last night and boy they do run the high hand promo expertly. I have no idea if it's drawing extra traffic to the room or not since I've never played there on a Monday night before.

I actually made quad Jacks to be the current High Hand for about 1 second as someone called in quad Queens immediately after the floor called in mine.

I’m here today and as soon as there are 10-15 names on the list(which all just walked in) they start a new table immediately.
They opened 4 new tables within 10 minutes when I first got here.
Other rooms should take note. Have dealers start BEFORE the hh begins and then a whole other bunch when it starts.

Every about this room is so expertly run (only snags are some inexperienced dealers and spotty drink service), I love it. I just wish the $2/$5 was as soft as Twin's $2/$5.
