I played in that last night. I was the one in the 8 seat trying to get everyone to add 2-7 to the mix. We finally got in a round of it at 4am before the game broke. Apparently you can also add Badeucey to the mix now!

Now that they've had tourneys running for a little bit - any word on potential bigger tournament series with bigger guarantees and better structures? I was really hoping for Encore to put out a tournament product that gave FW a run for its money.

There's a 60k guarantee on black Friday

I'll play it for sure. Still, the structure is the same than any Saturday tournament it looks like (which is already decent).
I am really hoping for a series with higher buy-ins, better structure, several variants, etc.

Talked to the room manager a little about this last weekend. He wants to insure that the bigger tournaments succeed when launched so he doesn’t want to have the first ones go off at a bad time in the calendar (such as too close before or after to thanksgiving). I think he mentioned potentially holding a bigger buy-in (600$) multi day event sometime after Christmas and then he see it eventually evolving into bigger series similar to what they run in Vegas.

Do you think the cash games will be less good during Thanksgiving weekend due to college students being home? Not sure how much of the player pool is made up of students.

I primarily play Fri/Sat but IME I rarely have more than 1-2 college-age people at my NLHE tables now - plenty of people coming home to Boston from elsewhere, too

It has only taken four months, but this is now no longer required. Water stays on longer than two seconds now.

There's still that one soap dispenser in the middle that shoots out half a gallon of soap with one squirt. I be in there washing my hands for days making up for the others who don't wash.

Welcome to every poker room. I once asked a guy who came out of a stall why he didn't wash his hands and he said the chips are dirty and filled with germs anyway, a little more can't hurt and this way he doesn't have to miss more hands than necessary. SMH......

A $1,000 high hand every 20 minutes, I'm surprised it's not more. Monday there were 6 games of 4/8. The 4/8 O8 probably won't get going.

I always wash my hands before and after. before because chips are sooo gross. No way I'll do anything without washing hands. After, because it's respectful to others.
I barely notice anyone washing their hands before

Wonder if I'd come off as too nitty if I wore latex gloves to protect from chip germs at the table

I wouldn't think so. But, would it matter? Just don't eat with those latex gloves, or touch your eyes or mouth. But, for that matter, skip the gloves, and was your hands when you finish playing or before eating.

More non washers need to be called out.

There's literally a guy in there watching me pee. Makes me uncomfortable when he's positioned looking down at the urinals. Just scoot a bit to the other side bathroom attendant sir, and don't let anyone leave without washing.

Does anyone know which restaurants accept the poker points ? I didn’t see it in the OP notes unless I’m blind

Poker Grill is the only one that accepts them directly. You can convert them to regular points to use in “casual dining” restaurants by talking to someone at the signup desk in the poker room.

Sorry I don’t have the exact list of what qualifies as casual - but it’s at least the buffet, the burger bar, and the cafe.

You can use them at the Poker Grill, Bru, Garden Cafe, Red 8, Burger Bar, and Buffet. It's listed under "Overview" on Poker Atlas. As mentioned for anything but the Poker Grill you have to see the Brush first to have them transferred.
