Man, I didn't know it was that long.

What do you guys think of this lodging prospect for a week rather than staying at Enccore?

Is the 10/20 NL in the same room as the other games or is there like a private room? Also, what about 5/5 PLO and 10/10 PLO?

Also, can you cash-in and out no issues or do they hand you a tax form if you cash out a certain amount?

There a VIP section for those games.

The parking voucher is dated. It has an expiration date of the following day at 7am

VIP separate room for the bigger games including those you mentioned. 10/20NL and 10/10 PLO for sure. 5/5 PLO I'm not sure about.

As for cashing in / out, they definitely mark something different on the computer for stuff in the $5k plus range. I was able to see them scan my red card, my profile popped up, and it listed my cashing ins and outs on like a spreadsheet looking page. So not sure what they will be doing with that info.

Mine had no expiration date on it, but the other vouchers given away did.

For when they stop providing the vouchers, what was the process to use the comp point from your red card? Did you simply pay at the exit gate, or did you take care of the transaction at the station in the elevator lobby beforehand?

I tried to use my voucher at the elevator ticket reader. When it couldn't read it, I just used my red card and it took 1 comp point.

I’m not sure what the process will be as it’s been free the whole time they’ve been open.

On July the floor was going around handing out vouchers saying ‘parking is free for poker players, just ask, tell your friends. I asked about the 1 hour/1 comp dollar thing and he said that is the long teem policy, but the systems aren’t working that great right now. When I left, my voucher didn’t work and the gate didn’t recognize my red card. Guy came over and asked ‘poker?’ Replied ‘yup’ and he opened the gate. He said process in the future would be to insert you red card and it will deduct a comp dollar from your account

Poker room felt like way back when Foxwoods was actually fun, before it became an angry wasteland of disappointment where the highlight of a session is seeing a blowup and ejection. Playing became fun and profitable again a year ago when I discovered Chasers. I’m looking forward to having good sessions here too, but hope this doesn’t kill off Chaser’s.

Some dealers could use improvement (had two great, three competent, and 1 bad) but I expect that in a large room only a week old. But even the worst dealer seemed sincere and enthusiastic, indicating that we’ll have the best room on the east coast within the next few months.

It will depress traffic from Thurs-Sat, but the weekdays will still do very well and the locals will always be there. That might change when the tournaments open up in September, however, especially if the Encore gets a decent series going.

I think jpsychlady had the best advice. Blackjack bores me to tears but I've always done decent at it. Just the same moves with the same cards really bores me. But I may just do that. I'll book maybe 10-20 hours @$25 a hand.

My trip isn't for another month so I am going to be diligent on looking at other options too. But I really, really, REALLY want to stay there. From the sounds of it, they are giving some discounts off the rack rate if you give some action in the pit.

Thanks for all the advice.

MILLBURY,MA BUS QUESTION!

Do you have to book a ticket online to get on the bus or can you pay the 7$ when it arrives?

I would not like having to book a trip home at X time when maybe I'm running good and I want to stay a few more hours.

I'm not aware of one. I think the best option is to use the follow ‎@EBH_Drive_Park on Twitter. They've tweeted out once when it was full. For what it's worth I've driven in several times around 7:30 pm and found the bottom level almost empty. Everybody is circling around level 2 & 3 looking for a spot, I go down to 4 and park right next to the elevator that goes to the poker room (North Elevator).

Also, I learned how to use the validated pass last night. I got one yesterday morning and when I tried to exit the parking garage it wouldn't scan. A parking attendant came over and opened the arm for me. Last night when I went back, I got another validated ticket and this time when it didn't work the parking attendant showed me that first you have to scan the ticket you got entering the garage, then it shows "$42 Due" (or $22 if less than 6 hours), then you scan the validated tickeet and voila the arm goes up.

I just tried scanning the ticket they gave me in the poker room and that does nothing. So far I have not had to use a comp dollar to get out.

I did similar last night except when leaving I scanned my entry ticket at the pay kiosk by the elevator then scanned the comp ticket. On way out I scanned the entry ticket at the gate and it lifted.

You must not play stud on the East Coast, or just not aggressive enough to cap the action..

Ask the ticket host/agent that shows up before bus arrives to scan tickets.

BUT if no one has reserved a ride they wont send bus that time
So order a tic on line and then ask question about return times.

The tic states you can change up to 12 hours before but again ask the tic scanner the bus driver does not know.
Good luck.
Trying to hype so they don't cut back on trips I was the only one on 11am bus wed.

I just rec'd an email from Encore offering 2 free nights for the month of July (Sun-Thurs).

Interesting that my wife, the slot player did not. I've been there twice and played poker (1-3 ) and video poker (mostly 25 cent ) both times. Some of those 25 cent machines cost $4.50/pull, but still...

I should add that I had a red card from Vegas that hasn't been used for years.

Maybe they're not filling the hotel at $650/night ? Anyway, wanted to know if others are seeing offers yet.

That's really nice to know that they aren't going to be too tight-fisted with their rooms.

Knowing they are comping rooms for players is a huge win for both the player and the house.

Thanks for sharing.
