I could do at least some Mondays. And if we can do any day regularly, I'd work my schedule around it.

Hard to imagine it not being big blind ante. We aren’t in the Stone Age, after all.

It looks like it is. I can't imagine they mean 200-400 blinds with every player putting in a 400 ante, right?

Starting chip stack is not the only driving factor in a good structured tournament. I feel you will be pleased with the overall flow and nothing is ever set in stone.

Only the big blind posts the ante = big blind and it goes into the middle pre-flop with the sb and bb in front of those players.

Don't really understand the criticism for releasing information where the majority of your clientele will theoretically see it. Poker Atlas/Bravo along with Facebook and now 2+2 would seem to be the most effective way to release such info along with any marketing email lists they have generated. What alternative form would you suggest to be more effective?

So I saw that 20/40 LHE was going last night on Poker Atlas. Is that a scheduled game, or is it worth getting a list going tonight?

Yes it was scheduled but probably worth it tonight. It's going to include a half kill triggered by any $200 scoop, so often.

Thanks for joining us and sharing this info Derek, as primarily a MTT player and Boston resident I’ve been eager to hear more about tournaments at Encore.

Few questions:
Will tournaments be held in the main poker room?
What will be the range of buy-ins for the dailies?
Will the tournament schedule only be available via poker atlas or will you be posting on the website/other social media channels?
Any chance we get some 6-max tournaments every so often?

I’ll be playing the Sunday tournament with a few friends and will come by to introduce myself. Looking forward to seeing how the structure is. Like the idea of 20m levels to start but personally would like to see the switch to 30m levels after level 8 rather than level 12.

Doesn't half kill come in when pots are 400 or more?

Why both? Why isn't just a Red Card good enough?

Because Red Card doesn't have a photo?

What would be the point of entering a poker tournament using somebody else's Red Card?

Tax purposes I would assume, same reason every casino requires it. Same reason you need to show your ID for a hand pay. You need to prove you're you, the players card doesn't suffice since you could be using someone else's. In the case of a hand pay, if you don't show your ID, you don't get paid - in which case the casino just keeps it. But in the case of a tournament where you win $5k+ (or whatever the threshold is), if you don't have ID they likewise don't pay you, but it's other players' money not the casino's, so that complicates things. Requiring ID up front eliminates that scenario from happening.

No alternative forms of media but better planning and execution. The post on 2+2 came 6hrs later to clarify confusion generated from poorly conveyed information on pokeratlas being spread through facebook like an elementary school game of telephone.

Ok well I am on the list - let’s see if we can get it going.

Holmfries, I’ll help start it short if you are interested and we can find 1-2 more. Likely to fill in if it starts. I’m sitting in 2/2 PLO now

I think the dream is dead. I told the floor I’d start short too, but it’s a no go.

Anyone else playing in the tourney Sunday? I'm a huge tourney punter and normally hate them, but I figure you've got to play the inaugural one.

I'm planning to play to see what it's like. I prefer cash games but don't mind mixing it up once in a while, especially if the field might be soft.. And I read the Harrington on Holdem books back in the day so feel like I should put that effort to work once in a while lol.

If you include play at FW, not for at least 18 months.
