How are more people not jumping into mixed games? I started playing nl Holdem and learned the other games. Now if I sit down at a nl table, I get really bored fast. I'm not saying everyone jump in the 40-80, I'm saying play 10-20 or 20-40.

Scoop a split game pot and you're making a lot of $ on most occasions. That's the point of playing split pot games. Scoops are huge wins.

You have to get a couple guys who are willing to start the game. The game will fill up really quick. 10-20 or 20-40 mixed should have a good chance of being a regular strong everyday game.

I would love to see lower limit mixed games go regularly, but would prefer to play pink chip or 15/30 to 10/20 or 20/40.

40-80 is a great game. I can see how a 20-40 could be even better though with people that want to learn the games. Either way you guys are really doing a great job with the non nlhe games.

Borgata Poker Open sets records

Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa set a record with 1,718 participants and a $687,200 prize pool when it began its ninth Borgata Poker Open last week.

It was the largest first-day turnout in the tournament's history.

The 17-day tourney features 57 events, including the $3 million guaranteed World Poker Tour Borgata Poker Open championship event that runs Sunday, Sept. 18, to Sept. 23. It will be filmed to be televised on Fox Sports Net.

If you don't like to play poker, but like the personalities, you can party with three of them when professional players Maria Ho, Lacey Jones and Christina Lindley host a party at mixx Sunday night.

Ho, according to a press release, currently holds the record for the single biggest score ever by a woman at the World Series of Poker, taking second in the $5,000 No Limit Hold 'Em event and winning $540,020.

She also is known for participating in CBS reality show "The Amazing Race," and she recently competed in "American Idol" and serves as a regular commentator for poker broadcasts on ESPN360.
