I'm coming down tonight to log-in some hours and, most importantly, HOPE for PLO. Like a few weekends ago, I hope it's not 2-5 and that table doesn't break when I get there. Anyway, I hope to be there after 9 PM. Anyone else coming down to start PLO?

I am sure this questions has been asked a million times; since I have been crushing 1/2 at the borgata last couple of trips, how much harder is 2/5 than the 1/2 game at the borgata? Should I be worried about the time rake vs pot rake? Thanks to whoever responds

The Borgata has so many choices as far *s 1-2 and 2-5 games that it is hard to stereotype, - I have been in no small number of 1-2 games that are harder than some of the 2-5 games. The time rake is great if you love to play a lot of hands. Win three hands at 1-2 in an hour pay $12 rake to house. Win any number of hands in an hour at 2-5, only pay $10/hour. I tend to find the 2-5 games easier than the 1-2 games!

So, I heard that dealers aren't allowed to play anymore as of yesterday. If true, what are the reasons behind this?

Bear in mind if you have one or two strong players in a 1-2 game, you might encounter 3-5 strong players in the 2-5 game, but that doesn't necessarily make the 2-5 games harder!

The simplest way to put it is that the level of play is only slightly better at 2/5, but not much better relative to the additional cash that's on the table. There's not enough money on the table at 1/2, and the skill level at 5/10 is markedly better. 2/5 is the most profitable NL game available.

Saw on my offers a Park Card that was supposed to be active July 1st but it's disappeared. Are they mailing this or should I get in touch with them since it's no longer on my rewards page...

The parking card will be mailed to you. You have to show the parking card at the exit.

Stan,

I love the new bravo system and the new tourny boards that show all the right info. I played in Event 24 of the Summer Open and and your staff did a great job keeping the numbers on it up to date, especially "players left" as the bubble approached. Almost as good as Vegas.

I've already reserved my room for next weekend to play in the Fri - Sat tournaments and some NLHE cash.
For some reason I'm really looking forward to the Borgata Open in September.
I'm hoping for some 2 day tournaments with daily level limits that keep the action going no later than 1:30AM each day and a 40 min dinner break.

Any idea when the September Open schedule will be published?
Do you have a DRAFT schedule to post here like you did before the Summer Open?

I want to plan ahead if possible.

thanks in advance
Borg regular

Apparently there was an altercation involving an off duty dealer in one of the pits. I dunno exactly what happened but they reversed course obv

I really don't get the big deal considering the number of places where dealers are allowed to play.

This is absolutely not true. All legal stuff at this point. Nothing of this nature has happened at all.

Stan,

How many runners in a usual Sat 11am tourny? I assume it will be inflated tomorrow with the holiday weekend? Thx.

I hate to gove out numbers for tournaments. Should be around 100.

Just came home and logged three hours of 1-2 NLHE on table 55. A tight, boring table. Still lost hands and busted out again with second nut flushes and two pair, all made on the flop. Eighth losing session in a row, you can't beat luck.

After 11, Esch, another player and I tried to get 1-2 PLO started when it was called, but not enough people came. Oh well, till this coming Thursday for an overnight stay, it's a good bye bye.

Planning on coming down from NYC for the day this monday (4th of July). Anything special happening? Or is it just regular scheduled tourneys (100+20+20 bounty at 11 am). Also any info on monday morning tourney or prediction for this 4th of July monday would be much appreciated.

Thanks!
