Same here. Trying to log in to book a room.

As for dealers in the games, I am very casual live player so limited hours. But I share the opinion of the limited I saw of dealers playing, they are no different then normal poker players. Some are terrible. Just god awful that you'd think they'd never played let alone dealt. Others have a brain and have learned what works and doesn't. Just like anyone else who sits down imo.

Change 2/5 to 2/300-1000 buy in already. 3-5 is a f-ing joke even during tournament it barely gets off then it broke after we played for 2 hours. Why would you want to segregate the player pool? The borgata is great compared to other casinos but the 2/5 games are much worse, a big part due to the buy in. I'll be across the river till it changes.

is it still 100? thats a ****ing joke
all casinos should have a rule that the min buy in for a game should be higher than the max buy in for the game right below it

I'm actually looking very forward to seeing how the whole dealer-player-same-room thing goes. I see a number of possible positives arising mostly related to more interesting games and game types. Just seeing how they end up playing is of interest to me.

Since the obvious issue of favoritism in rulings is out there, I'm leaning towards the idea that management is aware enough to keep an eye out for any unfairness. As for "oh, the dealer knows how I play" fears, that mostly sounds paranoid and/or exaggerated fear. Unless you are a bad player with easily exploitable weaknesses. Then sure, it sucks for you. But even then, another occasional good (I may be overly generous here) player shouldn't make that much of a difference.

On a final note... I know I rarely get official answers about why things ever happen at the Borgata, but I'm really curious what spurred the change in where dealers can play. It really seemed like one of those rules that everyone was just used to. Any relation to keeping staff around to keep the tables more full?

Yeah, it's a huge joke. I hate sitting down at the 2/5 with $500 and the other nine people all buy in for $100 every single time.

They should make everyone buy in for $1000. Then we could play real poker. And all the fish could just give their chips to me.

FYI, Pa is as of now not changing law allowing dealers to gamble, So even though I deal in the Pittsburgh Area the B is still my home Casino and I will be there next week for the Open.

If nine people buy in for $100, that is nine good reasons to keep the buy-in where it is, if you want a bigger game, step up to a bigger game! The 2-5 game is the best game around just the way it is now! I do get a good laugh every day at the relentless attempts to increase the amount of chips for just about any game, even well before it starts!

Didn't you post a couple of days ago that you would not return to the Borgata this summer because you were cold? This is your second plug for Parx in a week. No, make it four, i have to count your avatar twice as well.

I assume none of the off-duty dealers will be paid as 'house players' to help start games...

Off duty dealers only and they are not paid by Borgata to play. They are playing with thier own money.

Hey stan i sent you an email friday. Could you check that out?

As for the parx vs borgata nonsense by dipce... You said you wouldnt be back... Did you bring a sweatshirt this time? Borgata imo is still top 5 cardrooms in the us. Parx hasnt cracked the top 25. They arent even a year old! Why the constant hate on the borg? Do you work at parx?

I have not made a favorable comment about parx on the Borgata thread.my comment about parx on the parx thread was to the effect that I have never seen a cocktail waitress there. I have seen cocktail waitresses at the Borgata...

I know you meant well, but all five statements in my post were almost ridiculous enough on their own to not need any sort of "helpful" feedback. All 5 combined...

As for parx vs. Borgata, I weigh in favor of the Borgata for several reasons (a) the poker management is much more experienced and has more experience working with its dealers (b) Borgata has very generous room offers, both comped and poker rate that are great, parx doesn't, and (c) the poker comps and promotions at the Borgata are the best around, parx can't compete with these, see
