whats the min/max buy ins for limit games?

A couple of questions about the Weekly $7,500 freeroll:
1) How long do they normally take?
2) How many players normally register?

Every one that I've seen at the Borgata is 5 big bet min (e.g. 10/20 = $100), and no max. I don't know if this is different at the high limit games.

Max buy-ins are a function of no-limit and exist to keep players from losing their money too quickly. I've never seen a limit game with a max buy-in because there's no reason to have one.

The free-roll is great and I look forward to the Borgata bringing it back in July. It is 'new' so people are just getting to hear about it, thanks for the 'plug', the first one had about seventy, I think that number increased, and will continue to get larger as word gets out, I was able to print out my coupon a few hours ago at a kiosk, look under 'offers' for the free-roll on Sunday. It takes at least a couple hours to get in the money, though it is a thankfully pretty quick affair, so I can get back to a cash game!

And hey, let's see some more names on the razz list tommorrow so we can play some pink-chip razz!

One of the reasons the Borgata has seen an increase in players is the great comps / promotions / goodies, etc. To bring patrons into the place, a second reason may be the limitations on internet play, here is a third reason:

Reminder there is a free-roll on Tuesday (and I am sure half of you reading this did not know you qualified...(See link above...has long, long list for those eligible for june 7 free-roll! (That is in addition to the free-roll tomorrow!)

I can't make it today but for tomorrow I would love to play pink chip HORSE and will play short-handed to start the game, if necessary. I'll also be willing to play Razz as well. However, HORSE would be my preference.

The website says the Tuesday freeroll is at 11am. The Sunday ones are noon though.

In Vegas now, Borgata blows all of these casinos out of the water. Venetian is the only one that is close. Cya next week.

stayed at the Venetian a couple of weeks ago and played in their poker room for 3 days

while it was by far my best Vegas poker experience and is a great room, it can't touch the Borgata

pink chip Razz anyone?

Why do you feel this way? What makes Borgata so wonderful in your mind?

The promotions of the last 2 months have been nice and the abundance of empty hotel rooms have provided us poker players with comped room offers.

But every time I play, there are multiple problems with the room.

If players keep saying that the poker room is so great all the problems that exist will never be fixed because the people with big egos will just go on thinking they Rule the World. They will be far less likely to care about or recognize problems. Not that they'd even fix them anyway - as already demonstrated - but there is little or no chance if players keep blowing smoke.....

Count me in for the pink chip razz: today, tomorrow, or Tuesday (sign-up for 10-20 razz)

i'm thinking about coming up that way for a week or two during the summer open, does anybody know what the buyin and start times/frequencies for the main event sats are?

Bad beat hit last night at like 2am, quad jacks beat by royal. Was weird, one lady at the table was excited as hell but the rest were just sitting there as if nothing happened.

Also if anyone heard the guy saying he wanted to divorce/murder his wife (obviously drunk), yea that was my table.

I'm in if there is a pink-chip HORSE or Razz game tonight; this will convince me not to go to PARX

Perfect response. There is great game selection. The employees are very good/fair/nice. Stan is the best room director in the country. There are logistically many problems with the vegas rooms. They are smaller, biased towards locals, and thus huge lists can build as rooms don't always effectively utilize their tables. The venetian has the fewest of these problems, but they are still there.
