so 1/2 PLO is now lower comp than 1/2NLH?

BTW are these changes just to comp$ or do they effect the number of hours for tier, to maintain/achieve black label?

I realize the effort is probably to try to get more tables of other games and there's a fairly regular player pool at the 2/5 NL, but not even a slight increase for 2/5 NL? or did i read that thing 4 times and miss it each time? Is 2/5NL still @ 2.00?

Heard Sunday the 10-20 only ran for a few hours. Is this true?

I wouldn't be surprised. I was there a couple weeks ago and the game nearly broke Sunday night around 9 PM.

Stan, those new comps and promos look great!

I am sure that we will eventually, and i can't give exact dates, that we will have a promotion for every game type and limit. Please remember that i changed the Bad Beat drop from $20 to $50 recently. That was a huge savings for the 2-5 NL.

Not saying that it hasn't been better but the game went most of the day for what i remember and we (3) games last Saturday. The MLB playoffs had a big impact on our buisness.

No i have never seen 6/12 and 5/10 is pretty rare. Pretty much for lhe you have 2/4 and 3/6 then the jump to 10/20.

Lol at the lack of reading comprehension/patience about 2/5 games.

Edward, talk to Stan about the plo comps in person. He had a compelling argument when I stated plo should have higher comps than 1/2 nl. Cliffs: 1/2 nl generates way more profit than plo.

I am going to be at the Borgata Saturday night and Sunday and was wondering how often the sit and goes go off, particularly the $40 and $75 ones. I am interested in playing in a couple, but don't want to bother if they only go off every couple of hours or not at all. Thanks in advance.

I am lost as to what this means for 2/5 nl players. Can someone elaborate.

They go off very frequently.

Pots between $20 and $49 no longer have the $1 taken out, and are not eligible for the BBJ.

It doesn't say it on the website, but you're probably right. I've been to the Borgata a couple of times, but this is the first time I've planned on playing any poker.

I've played and seen a 75 go off during the weekend. I feel 120s are most popular but 75s do get their share. I have never seen a 40 dollar sng go. I've been going down pretty late when I've gone (after 11 pm) so the SNGS are usually done by then.

I've never played in a game that takes a time charge but I believe 10/20 LHE does, correct? I prefer to have an idea of what's going on before I sit so how much and how often?

What are best practices and etiquette? For instance, if I want to take a break for 30 min, should I walk away right before the time charge? Or will they take it out of my stack as a charge for having a seat?

Does 10/20 LHE have a must move? If so, how does that work.

I remember something about first person to win a pot paying the time charge for everyone (or something like that.) What's the deal with that?

Asking here because I'll be playing at the Borgata so I'm interested in specifics of how it works at the Borg.

Oh, and does it play with $10 chips? And if it's in the high limit area are their chip-runners back there or do I still go to the cage?

Thanks

$5 every half hour at 10/20.

If you're not there when a new dealer comes, they'll just take the $5 off your stack.

When I used to play 10/20LHE, it often had a must move. Not sure about now.

Time pots are something the players can decide to do on their own to have the time come out of the first pot or two above a certain size. You don't have to take part in it if you don't want to. If you don't participate, the time wouldn't come out of your pot if you win it.

It plays with $5 chips. I believe you can use the chip runners.

obviously increasing the comps is great, but I do feel 1/2 NLHE should be on par with 1/2 PLO, so that should also be $1.50 imo. not upset by keeping 2/5 the same, but doesn't seem right that 20/40 limit gets $3 while 5/10 NL only gets $2.

Time for 20-40 is $7, time for 5-10 is $6. I do agree that 1-2 PLO should be $1.50. Just give me a little time to make it happen.

sorry, thought time in the 2 games was the same. still weird though. maybe $2.50 for 5/10 since it is 6 per half where 2/5 is 5 per half
