$1-5 stud should have a .50 ante, makes the game more interesting.
I'll even go out on a limb and say that if 1-5 stud ever got on Borgata's board, it would fill up within an hour. I think people would sit down and play/kill time rather than sit around waiting for another game.

I also think that a 2-10 stud game would take off (no ante, $2 BI).

Of course I've been wrong before, I thought the 4/8 HOSE game would be insanely popular...

I saw you posted in the Torny Forum on the Double play that the room rate will be $99 for Sunday onward. Any chance of getting a good rate that Saturday night? Gonna play the Qualifier to try to get in cheaper. Gonna play the Event no matter what, but didn't want to pay a Full Saturday rate.

game report please

i am new to brick & morter poker and someone told me that in addition to tipping the dealer that they charge a rake, is it a rake per pot or per hour? My friend plays at the indian casinos says he doesnt get charged rake at his tables.
Someone please clarify for me please.

Some games are raked and some have a time charge.
For 1/2 there is a rake, for 2/5+ there is a time charge ($5 per half hour @ 2/5)

I don't know the structure for non no limit games

The tip goes to the dealer, the rake or time charge goes to the casino.

LHE is rake per pot up to 10/20, which is time charge per hour.

The other games (10/20 OE, pink O8, pink stud8) are rake per pot, except for the higher levels.

I was in the 7PM 30k guaranteed NLHE MTT on Wednesday night, and after busting out in the low 50s, I went to 2/5. Later on I saw a guy who put a serious dent in my stack earlier, who I saw was at the FT when I went into the back room to check who was still in. He told me they were 6 handed and trying to do a chop, but one of the players didn't have two forms of ID and that the Borg wasn't letting them chop because of this. Is this true? I ask because I only have one truly valid form of ID. My passport is in the early stages of being renewed, and my only debit/credit card is a joint account I share with my father. The only thing I have is a driver's license. Would I run into the same problem should I be lucky enough to get into a chop or even an outright win?

Your DL should be good. The reason that they could not chop is because the player didn't have any acceptable ID to get paid at the cage. Or maybe his DL was expired which happens alot. Since he could not get paid they were unable to split that money.
