Oh wow. They're weird, but usable. Caesar's has em. So does Boat.

I think the only card that made me barf were the ones I saw at the Mirage. They looked like dime store cards.

When did you start using them? I didn't notice a difference on Saturday.

Hey Stan, I noticed today you guys started using new cards. EVERYONE HATES THEM. they are to firm so it makes it harder to "squeeze" your cards and bend them in the corner to see your hand, and they are narrower so they are tough to handle. The consensus seems to be the dealers like them but the players hate them. Not sure how that will settle with you but the players hate them!!! Any chance of you guys going back to the thinner, more pliable cards?

I think any change to a poker room is met with hate. It takes at least a month before people can make a fair evaluation.

Edit: For example if the shufflers really do like these cards better that's a pretty big plus. I think I can get over any other 'problems' with the cards.

This is going to send everbody over to the Taj, where you can play with cards that are easier to handle, it takes an hour to get seated even when tables have open seats, drugs are sold out in the open, degenerate players who don't know you beg for a "loan", players swipe each other's chips. muggings take place in the restrooms on a daily basis, fatal stabbings occur once a year over who has what seat, and the buffet sucks. On top of that they serve really cheap booze.

Stan, you better change the cards back to what they were...

How about this: Go to the Taj Mahal, get $20 in whites, and bring those with you to the Borg. Then, you can get all the pleasure of shuffling their dirty, disgusting chips, without sacrificing game selection, professionalism, and service.

whats with the sarcasm people? They switched cards, the players don't like them, we are just letting Stan know. No ones going to leave the Borgata because of the cards but if we can get them switched back it'd be nice......
gotta love the forum tough guys

QFT. This is pretty much a fact of life with any change. Every time something changes at my job, people freak out. Turns out most of the time it is for the best.

Gemaco's are my favorite cards. Perhaps because I used to be a dealer. I'll be checking these out this weekend... Can't wait!

I hope Stan doesn't even respond to this stupid issue...

They're harder to squeeze because they're new cards....... Let them wear in and theyl be fine.. My god, you people will find anything to complain about. If they work better with the machines, that's a plus for all players.

And Al, you forgot to mention the fact that you're the one dealing at the Taj, stabbing people and making the buffet suck by eating all the good stuff

The only thing I righteously get the discredit for here is depleting the buffett...

Huh? How long do they use a deck of cards before tossing them? I didn't think they could get that "worn in" to become more pliable.
