Right, didn't think of that- it's been a long while since I saw the PC game.

Thanks... though, in the spirit of the game, I think they should change the rake to only take pink chips- spread it out in some weird way :P

Anyone else I should be speaking to? Thanks.
When I want something from the poker room, I deal directly with the people in the poker room. Calling hotel reservations will serve you better if you were a player in the pit, and if you want to speak to them afterwards, they'll be able to assist you after you straighten everything out via Stan/Mabel or whomever Stan recommends that you speak to.

I know when Bruce was around (before he left to run Mohegan Sun) he always helped out with this kinda stuff. And, Mabel who presently works there, is also someone that I'd recommend. Not sure if they require that you play a certain limit, and if Stan happens to miss your post, I'd get on the phone ASAP.

Just wondering.

Two questions Stan:

1. Has the Borgata considered getting rid of IWTSTH like some other casinos have ? If one more person asks to see my hand after they stack me....

2. Would it be possible to get a sign or something reminding us to clock out or even something near the cashier where we can swipe ourselves out ? I forget to clock out every time and have lost out on hundreds of comp dollars.

thx

I would give both ideas a +1, with an extra +1 if you change the second one to:

2. Would it be possible to have the cashier swipe us out and have them ask us to do so? (I know that would slow the line down some, but it would be a great feature.)

BBJ finally hit yesterday...and the players were arguing because noone wanted to tip the dealer. And, there was one guy who wasn't at the table when it hit and demanded the same share as the rest of the table because he said that if he was there, it never would've hit. He demanded money!!!

It'll be interesting to see if that affects attendance this weekend.

It's customary but NOT mandatory for people to usually give $100 per person.

Coming off and demanding his part is never going to work well...

I don't think it will hurt attendance because they're the most popular room in AC anyway. Now, if it was the Showboat, I would agree; I remember a little bit ago when the BBJ was, what around $300,000+ and the room was packed! I even went there to play and I've never even stepped foot in the Showboat before this.

Yes, it is customary. I think he wound up getting $1000 and all things considered, not bad. Not sure about the dealer, though, which is also customary. Bad karma not tipping the dealer; not saying that you have to overdue it (although that is also your preference) but to not want to give *anything*?

I think the hurricane will affect attendance, a lot more than the size of the Bad beat Jackpot...

This sounds exactly like the last BBJ on July 3rd when one person was absent from the table. In that instance at least one of the tablemates wouldn't chip in. A big debate over tipping and fairness ensued. Example: If absentee was at the table, cards fall a completely different way, and no BBJ occurs.

Always thought that the BBJ payoff should be approached similar to a tournament in that not only the last dealer was tipped a "reasonable amount", but the staff was also tipped through the poker room manager. The % up to the individual player. What is right is right.

Granted, you have built the jackpot with your hourly tokes, but a lot goes into accumulating and tracking the Jackpot. Takes way more than one dealer to perform the service.

I never understoood this.

If the player who is away from the table doesn't get paid, why should the anybody from the staff be toked other than the dealer who dealt it? I mean give the staff a little gamble too, to keep up their enthusiasm and interest...
