Yes just like the past room and tournament manger who both were stealing cash from players for years. I trust in him. Did the casino ever apologies to players or give it back. We pay them to play there and expect an hoenest treatment, with no one stealing from players and rules that are followed to a T. Rules change daily depending on who the players are involved, and who the floor person is.

I have never had a job were I did not have to know all company polices. Here the dealers do not know the rules or control the games. Floor people do not know the rules ask 3 floor people a rule 3 different answers.

There never has been, nor will there ever be any type of administration cost for managing those funds.
100% of the PPF (Player Promotional Fund aka Jackpot fund) is returned back to the players in some form to INCLUDE interest earned while funds are held.

From:
https://gaming.az.gov/sites/default/...dixF2.2007.pdf
Section CC (5)
(page 21)

"All funds contributed by players into a jackpot promotional fund shall be returned to players on the happening of one or more predetermined events, which may or may not include the play of a hand, in accordance with the posted rules, except as provided by Compact Section 3(v)(2)(H). A player must be actively participating in live or tournament play at the time eligibility for an award from the jackpot promotional fund is determined. No commission or administrative fee shall be paid to the Gaming Facility Operator or others for administering a jackpot promotional fund. Any non-cash award shall be charged to the jackpot promotional fund at no greater than the actual cost of the award (as reasonably determined by the Gaming Facility Operator). In addition, the funds contributed to a jackpot promotional fund shall be accounted for separately. Any interest earned on a jackpot promotional fund balance shall be credited and posted to the jackpot promotional fund."

From:
https://gaming.az.gov/sites/default/...act.final_.pdf
Compact Section 3(v)(2)(H) refers a circumstance in which a payout will not be made:
The Tribal Gaming Office shall prohibit the Gaming Facility Operator from paying any hand-paid jackpot to a Person who is on the Tribal or State Gaming Agency self-exclusion list. Any jackpot won by a Person on the self-exclusion list shall be donated by the Gaming Facility Operator to an Arizona-based non-profit charitable organization."

All this information is public record and available through/at the state gaming department website.(as linked)

Did a search but all I could come up with was from 2011. Is the lowest spread still 3-300? or is there a 2-200?

Thanks.

Why is the freeroll this Sunday a $50 service fee? This fee is bigger than their $500s, $300s, etc. 40k prize pool from jackpot fund with roughly 350 players expected so it's essentially a $115 + $50....

Such a rip off. Obviously I'm going to play cause I qualified but don't expect a big tip or any from me if I FT.

From the jackpot fund?
What other rake was there besides the $50?

For sure, but they never instituted a huge service fee like this for their regular tournaments. So now they abuse the fact 300-400 ppl qualified for a "jackpot funded freeroll" and know everyone is going to play...so let's just double the service fee because we can get away with it.

The daily $125s are 100+25, the nightly $145 are $115+30, the $345s are 300+45, the $500s are 450+50 I believe.

On another note, im sick of the excuses that TSR only has 1 set of chips so they can't run multiday deep stack tournaments. They blame the tribes, and I'm sure the tribe will blame the gaming commission, then they'll blame Obama or ISIS or something. Do the players right and stop getting away with 4 hour turbo fests 9x a week

The tourney juice for the dailys is almost as atrocious as the play. It makes me feel gross even playing the monthly 345.

The sad part is that these are the best in the state. Its a joke that the tourney players in arizona have to go out of state to get a decent structure,or play online like me

Is the tourney JP fund fed by the entrance fees or the regular cash game rake?

It's been this way since the beginning of CAZ time. There is no such thing as a true freeroll there lol... Play for 3 months, contribute $5 per tourney per person and qualify for the "freeroll" and still pay additional rake to actually play it.

Thing is, they are always up front about this extra juice, so just gotta suck it up and play for the value that still remains there.

Yes, sometimes. Other times, not at all.

Has anyone else had problems with the card swipe system lately? It's signed me out randomly the last four times I've been there. This has occasionally happened in the past but never with this frequency. Really annoying losing spots on lists and comp dollars.

Any idea what time the 3-5/5-10 SL games will fire up next Saturday? I assume tables will not be available during the morning and early afternoon due to the tournament?

Yes. This is frustrating. I waited like 30 min and then noticed my name was gone. Just make sure to tell board person and she will move you up.

Glad to see the restaurant suggestions, I'm coming down for the tournament this weekend.

To the best of your knowledge, is there anyway to register remotely? I want to make sure I can play Day 1B and don't get shut out (won't be arriving until Friday night late).

Thanks!

BTW this is the off-off tourist season, so you can get $300 rooms at the super resorts for like 75 bucks a night. Might as well live it up a little for not much more than Motel 6 prices.
