Had this funny hand a couple of days ago that sums up poker in 2020:

$5/10. UTG (German pro) opens to $35. Rec player calls in MP. I call AJo on the button. 3 ways.

Flop KQTr (pot $120)

UTG bets $75. MP calls. I raise to $225. Both call.

Turn 8, two diamonds now (pot $795)

UTG checks. MP checks. I bet $800. UTG all-in for $1500. MP goes all-in for a bit less. I SIGH call.

German pro yells out "DIAMOND!" Luckily river is not a diamond. MP has AJo and we chop 3-ways.

5 years ago some of these monkeys would not even fold AK here, and two pairs and sets were getting jammed on the flop all the time.

So, if this is poker in 2020, what does that mean for you going forward?

Kill myself obv.

For a serious response (though the first option isn't 100% in jest), I'm just table selecting harder and trying to save up money. However not really saving up anything running like this.

Sorry about the run bad Sabr. I feel your pain. Most of 2019 felt like that for me.

Damn bruh that's not the first time you've joked or not-joked around about this. I would be very sad if one day you never posted again. And I don't even know you.

Took like 6 months off and got really fat. Just started again this month but it's probably going to take 6 months to get back to where I was.

Oi Lapi...you and Trix have stayed at Cosmo, yeah? I'm considering a quick couple of nights there in March. Thoughts on the appeal for someone who's a Vegas virgin?

Thinking more, you've been there too feelie, haven't you?

yep, I wrote a detailed summary in the Hotel Review thread in LVL.

Rooms are great and if you can put your hand a little deeper in your pocket and get a Fountain View room with balcony, I think the Vegas Virgin will love it. My wife hadn't been to Vegas for 12 years and loved the resort

Having an empty fridge in the room was a real bonus....we sat and drank on the balcony and pre-gamed watching the fountain show and the Strip and probably saved $100 a day doing that.

Loads of good places to eat, a younger, very beautiful crowd and a nice pool area are all plusses but it's really expensive, both for the room and in and around the property and the casino floor itself is a bit meh.

I'd stay somewhere else if I went with her again, but I think you'd really enjoy it if you stayed there

Yup love the Cosmo. I like that they have Momofuku.

Staying there again when we go in June.

Yup... Cosmo is the #1 place to stay on the Strip.

If you really want to impress, splurge on a table in the main room at Rose Rabbit Lie.

Listen to Uncle Feelie too. He knows which way is up.

I think the one thing that kept me from killing myself when I was younger was hope. The hope that there would be better times ahead, and I'm sure there will be good times for you and for I unless cancer hits and then I'll be digging up Jack Kevorkian.

Too many sick brags in a single post for me to reply...not to mention I'm not baller enough to stay at Cosmo.

yeah I had some rungood in 2018 and was looking at the charts thinking where are all the chips in these pots? Hold'em doesn't have an ante and people eventually learn to nit up the bleeding.

Have you gotten any help for your mental situation.

These are great shots, especially for those of us without snow. Where are you again?

I think a VV should start at the Aztec and then everything else will feel like moving on up in the world.

Did the wraparound balcony thing on our wedding night.

1st room we went to was super dirty & had pubic hair in multiple places. Took forever to get them to do anything, but eventually got moved to an even higher floor & everything was awesome.

rickroll,

Love your avatar! Can you explain it. Think it's from 2 different movies like Apocalypse Now (wrong actor obv) and a late 60s early 70s beach movie with former Mouseketeers.
