Fog/low level clouds are serious fcuking bizness. I have an absolute shitload of experience dealing with this stuff and if you are not flying IFR and you get into this kind of situation you are screwed. They have done extensive testing on peoples abilities to know what level is when their vision is whited out. Chances of being able to maintain level flight are non existent period.

U remember when kennedy crashed his plane? got severely disoriented

This stuff will all come out in the investigation.

I have no idea what happened. All I do know is that vis was really bad. Local sheriff helis were grounded prior to the accident.

If you are not flying IFR and you are in clouds/whited out disorientation happens insanely fast. You tend not to believe the readings you are seeing. It is my understanding they piled in at north of 180 mph (which is hauling ass). This indicates to me the pilot got disoriented.
