Is anyone else still having replayer issues after updating to 1.11.07a like I am?

Ive been working with someone in the HEM.com forums. Ive reinstalled 07a and created a new database and reimported. Still nothing. Am i the only one having this issue?

Its not a common issue. Are you using any 3rd party firewall, anti-spyware, adaware, tuning or registry cleaning programs? and if yes which ones?

Did you backup/export any of the data before you reinstalled postgresql? Why did you reinstall HM and SQL?

Did you use our installer to reinstall postgresql? How long ago was it first installed?

It may be possible to reinstall postgresql using the old database's \data folder if it is still on your hard drive. It is a little complicated to attempt and is basically a con-flip as to whether it will work or not.

Please update to the latest beta - http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/HmBetaUpdate.exe

For reinstalling SQL to the same DB, follow these steps:

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.
2) If you are moving the DB to a different drive/partition, manually cut or copy the \Postgresql\8.x\data directory to it's new location.
3) run the command - start > programs > accessories > command prompt > right-click > run as administrator
net user postgres /delete
4) reboot.
5) Install the same version of PostgreSQL as your current DB using these instructions - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...g+Old+Database
6) If you have moved/installed your DB to a non-default location, please make sure to change the 'Data Directory' path during the installation.

If you have the old \data folder and need some help trying to restore it you can send me an email and we can schedule a teamviewer session for me to try. My schedule is a little hectic this weekend and tomorrow so scheduling may be difficult.

Please email me at fozzy@holdemmanager.net, with a link to this thread, and your forum name, so we can schedule a Teamviewer session. Download the Teamviewer Quick Support Module - http://www.holdemmanager.com/teamviewer Please let me know what time zone you are in and what time/days are convenient for you. I schedule support from 13:00 - 22:00 GMT, 7 days a week.

In general, this is why regular backups are a good idea. If your database becomes corrupt you can restore a backup and only have to import the most recent hands (that were played after the backup was created).

We have a backup and restore feature within Holdem Manager that makes it easy for you to backup all your settings, hand histories and files.
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...up+%26+Restore

This is a new feature and there are some compatibility issues with it so if you have any problems you can do this manually by following the instructions below:

Manual database backup/restore via pgadmin - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...store+Database

To backup everything manually for reimport.

Export your Hand Histories
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...6+Export+Hands

Export Your Notes
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/images/notes-02.jpg

Export Your Bonuses and Rakeback – Options > Rakeback & Bonuses http://faq.holdemmanager.com/images/...bonuses-01.jpg

Export any tourney summaries by selecting all your tournaments in the Data View Sub-Tab of the Tourney > Results Menu and choose Export Tourney Results and summaries

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/images/...ta-view-01.jpg

Then can you create a new database http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...elete+Database

Finally reimport all your hands/notes/summaries into the new database

If you play a site like stars/ftp you can email their support and ask for all your old hand histories and tourney histories/results.

All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HMArchive is likely not in your \Holdem Manager directory. We normally suggest you use C:\HMArchive, but you may have put it anywhere.

To verify the location: Options > Configure Auto Import Folders > Edit > Archive Folder: ___________________

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...Import+Folders

The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31).

I used the 15 day trial of HEM and decided to purchase the software, however after having done this the HUD no longer works. I have changed nothing but I cannot seem to fix the problem and it is very annoying as I have only really purchased it for the HUD feature.

Any thoughts?

decided to go ahead and download 1.11.07a when i open the program now after updating i got the messege that it it will take some time to update the database, then it just stays on the opening window and the database never loads says (program not responding).

this is not something unusal to me as i have a very large db and it would always do this for approx 10secs everytime i opened hem. The difference is this is taking very long, ive been waiting about 20min, just wondering if i should leave it like this for a lot longer or do i need to do something else as the program is never going to open in its current state?

I haven't seen any significant increase in reports of this.

Is Windows fully updated? Graphics driver updated?

Is it worse when playing with HUD?

Please reproduce the problem and attach a screen shot (Task manager > Processes > Sorted by CPU) - http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/gen...screenshot.htm

Please send us some log files with the screen shot.

Enable logging from the HUD options->Table prefs menu. When the crash happens again, go to the logs\log.txt file and move it to another location before you restart the hud. I want to get the 'crash' log.txt file after you finish playing. If you restart the hud before moving the log.txt file, it is overwritten.

Please email them to support@holdemmanager.net, with a link to this thread and your forum name.

Please attach your holdemmanager.config and prefs.xml file from C:\Program Files(x86)\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config. If your extensions are off you'll just see a file called holdemmanager and prefs. Windows hides 'known file extensions' by default. http://www.granneman.com/techinfo/wi...howextensions/

From your Windows "Start" button, select "Run..."

Type DXDIAG in the "Open:" field and hit Enter.

DXDIAG will start, and may display a prompt that begins "Do you want to allow DxDiag to check if your drivers are digitally signed..." Answer "Yes" to this query if it appears.

A window entitled "DirectX Diagnostic Tool" appears, and in the lower left corner, a progress meter begins to advance towards the right as DXDIAG collects information relating to the system's hardware and Windows component configuration.

When the progress indicator disappears, hit the "Save All Information" button. Save this file as DXDIAG.TXT where it can be easily located. By default, DXDIAG will place this file on the Desktop.

Note: If you do not see a button that allows you to save the output, you will need to log on to Windows as the Administrator.

Attach this file

I believe you will have to create a new database and import all the hands for the new stats to work. No reason to reinstall SQL.

What sites do you play? Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

Please update to the latest release - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

Make sure the hand histories and poker client are in English. Set your Windows Regional and Language Settings to English (US). Restart your PC.

Try the table finder - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...r+to+Show+HUD+

Make sure you follow the directions exactly.

Pick the table name in the table finder window to highlight it

If you don't see a table name listed, please drag the red X to the table and click OK. Open the Table Finder again and the list should be populated with the table name now, so you can select it.

Left-click and drag the red X to that table window

Click OK

*If that doesn't help, please answer these questions - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...esn't+Work

*Post the answers in a new thread on the HM Forums - http://forums.holdemmanager.com/index.php

If your system is slower it can take some time for the update and it may appear frozen/crashed.

Try to launch \rvg software\holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe and create a new database.

Leave it, as a large database may take quite some time to update (especially on a slower system/hdd).

just now i tried to restore hem while it was in not responding mode, got some errors that related to player profile phase 2 error and something about objects of objects. At the same time sql opened up and allowed me to create new database. With new database hem opens fine now.

my question, last time i upgraded my system from win vista to win 7 i exported and transfered my whole DB, took something like 20 hours to do so, that was almost 7 months ago and im sure it will take even longer now. Any way to export only part of the old database, say the past month or so into the new one?

Normally there is no need to export hands because all your hands should be in the archive folder (default c:\hmarchive) organised in subfolders for year\month\day.
For selective exports please see our FAQ: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...6+Export+Hands

When it starts up (initializing database), says it has to update, I press ok and freezes on the initializing database screen.

Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes Anti Malware which have never been a problem with HEM

Yes windows is fully updated, its definately not a graphics card driver as it started happening immediately after i installed HEM update and its happening on more than 1 computer. Here are some screenshots

When you start the update it runs a database update the first time. While this update is running HM might display "..not responding..." but its working in the background. Depending on the size of your database this update might need some minutes up to some hours. I suggest you let it run until its completed.

Odd, yes you can install a previous version again: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...or+Past+Builds

But your windows is not fully updated - you see the update symbol in the right corner?
The strange thing is that hud and import don't use the CPU time but holdemmanager.exe. I think we need to take a look at your system - Please schedule a remote support session with our support.
