[HUD] Holdem Manager Support
When I try to change my HUD configuration (Player preferences - Choose configuration) nothing happens. It worked when I changed it from default to another one I did for HUSNGs, but now I'm trying a new one and nothing else changes (I can't even get it back to the default one).

If you get the same type of dotnet error:
Reinstall Microsoft .NET Framework:
1) Download and run this uninstaller - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...eanup_tool.zip
2) Install this one: http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...dotnetfx35.exe

it is working now for my SNG tables but every time i play at a table, i will need to use HEM table find to repeat the same steps to make HUD work on the ongame betsafe. I think the problem could be the recent ongame updates, that put all HH for most skins at the same location at C:\Documents and Settings\Windows\P5JavaClientSettings\handhistory\ , therefore, HEM doesn't know it is a ongame skin, please help, it is a painful experience to repeat the same table finder thing for every SNG table I am playing.
Thanks

Please reproduce the problem and post a screen shot of your desktop - http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/gen...screenshot.htm
with the following:
1) The table manager
2) The tables (including one with no stats)
3) The ...handhistory\screenname folder.
4) The "\rvg software\holdem manager\importing\hud data" folder AND the \appdata\roaming\hem data folder. Please Zip these folders and email them, with a link to this thread and your forum name, to support@holdemmanager.com
Please make 3 and 4 the detailed view with the dates and file sizes etc.
Also include these 2 files: Please attach your holdemmanager.config and prefs.xml file from C:\Program Files(x86)\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config. If your extensions are off you'll just see a file called holdemmanager and prefs. Windows hides 'known file extensions' by default. http://www.granneman.com/techinfo/wi...howextensions/
My results for tournament tracking aren't accurate. It seems like the tournament tracking in general is off. I can spot this easily by running the report for MTTs with 180+ players, and it says I've played 63 in the last year, which is way lower than the number of MTTs I have played while importing into HEM.
I have no idea what data you need from me or how I can fix this, but this is a huge concern because it essentially means hands are missing. I also tried to look for hands I remember from trnys that aren't recorded and I can't find them.
This might sound dumb or like I'm missing a fundamental aspect of using HEM, but if I can't get this to work then the application isn't really of any use.

If your site does not write summary files you will have to edit the results manually - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...lts+Sub-Tab%29
If you play a site like stars/ftp you can email their support and ask for all your old hand histories and tourney histories/results.
You need to request and import any/all your tournament histories and import those to HM. Stars did not write the tourney summaries to your hard drive in the past, like FTP did. They recently added this feature, so please enable the option in the PokerStars client and add the folder to your Auto Import Folder Configuration.
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...er+Stars+Setup
Email support@pokerstars.com and ask for ALL your old Hand Histories and Tournament Histories/Results.
They will send you an email with links to zip files of your hand histories. Download all the zip files. Right-Click > Extract the contents of each zip file to a new folder. HM > Import From Folder for all of the unzipped hands.
The tournament summaries should be attached to the email as .htm files. Download the attachments. HM > Import File(s) for all of those files. It will probably ask you to search/select your Pokerstars screen name. If the files are sent as .html you will need to rename them (Right-Click > Rename) from .html to .htm extensions.

You need to use the Bodog HandGrabber to get HM HUD to work - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...og+Poker+Setup
See this thread, as some customers are having problems getting the hand grabber to work - http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/45...update-964068/
Idk if this has issue has been addressed but I searched and didn't see it.
I am using Holdem Manager on RPM and keep importing duplicate hands.
Anyone know how to fix this issue? Thanks.

HEM was working fine until today when I open it up and get this error
When I press OK, it takes me to the Database Control Panel and when I press Connect it says
I press YES and gives me this
I press OK and gives me
I press OK again and it takes me back to the DB Control Panel
Please help. All I did today was pretty much turned on my computer, surfed the web, watch a video and started HEM (didn't move anything around) so idk why this is happening.
Thanks in advance.
The following error occurred when trying to open the database: Failed to establish a connection to '127.0.01'
A connection to PostSQL could not be made. Would u like to have Holdem Manager attempt to start the service?
Sorry, HEM was unable to start the service
HEM has started the service. Please try again.

Many/Most sites do not write tournament summaries, only hand histories. These summary files contain the buyin, finish, prizes, etc, info. Without this info HM cant calculate the results.

I have enabled this now, and had Stars support send me an audit - I added this to my DB and it looks like its working. I'll be reviewing my data over the next few hundred games to see if its updating correctly now that I'm saving the tournament summaries to my HDD.
Thanks for the quick reply...same goes for support@holdemmanager.com who I emailed on the same topic, and got quick/effective replies. Keep up the good work
Curious about running a single DB between two computers on a home network. Searched here and on holdemmanager.com and found this:
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...ver+a+Network+
Is this the simplest way to do it? You can't just ... I don't know. I know a bit about computers but networking is definitely my weakness. I thought it would be as simple as sharing the database. Maybe it is. I'll sit down and work through that procedure one day if that's what's required.
I have two PCs on my home network. My main one is in the study but there's an old one hiding in the TV unit as a home theatre PC. It's mostly for playing video files from the main PC on the big screen and it gets used for browsing a bit too, but I got some wicked recliners and now I can see myself playing poker from the lounge. I just want one HEM DB that can be accessed from either PC and while that link says what to do, comments from others seem to indicate there may be a simpler way in my situation. Just thought I'd check before embarking on the mission detailed in that link. Any advice would be appreciated.

All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HMArchive is likely not in your \Holdem Manager directory. We normally suggest you use C:\HMArchive, but you may have put it anywhere.
To verify the location: Options > Configure Auto Import Folders > Edit > Archive Folder: ___________________
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...Import+Folders
The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31).
Move the files in the handhistory folder to your \hmarchive folder and import them via import file or import from folder.
Try a new session with auto-import. A new handhistory file should be generated.

You can put your database on an external HDD and move it between machines - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...o+computers%3F
Most people simply copy/move the \hmarchive folder of original auto imported hands between computers, or export recent hands from one machine to import to the other.
We have some long-term plans for new features to simplify this process in the future but there is no ETA for when these new features will be available.
That 'fix my stats' option is for sites that don't have preferred seating options. It will cause the hero stats to show in the spot (top left corner) on every table, regardless of where you are seated.
What site? Some sites are different than others, but in short:
Configure your pokerclient preferred seating and seating preferences in HM accordingly.
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...ferred+Seating
1) Open one Table, play at least one hand.
2) Move the stats with the right mouse key to the correct positions.
3) Table manager -> File -> Save positions
4) Now you can open further tables but you will always have to play at least one hand for the stats to be moved to the correct positions.
You can use that FAQ to run a single database for 2 machines over a network, but you are correct that it is no simple task for a networking novice. I have never attempted it myself.

I just checked and I can view/select shared network folders while configuring auto-detect folders. Would adding the other computer's archive folder here (on both machines) have a similar effect?
That worked fozzy, thnks (didn't lose my hands either)
I only have Microstakes or small stakes edition. I'm ready to start playing some 100NL, looks like HEM keeps your stats, but won't display a HUD until I upgrade. How much is the pro version..does that include all limits even nosebleeds? I'm going to start donking off some $ at low limits PLO too...be in my best interest to upgrade to Omaha and Pro version as well?
Make sure the hud options > player preferences > appearance > [ ] disable hero in hud, is unchecked

I guess sharing the archive folders and importing each time would be easier... I dare say I'll be tempted to have a crack at networking one day though. I'm proficient enough to follow instructions and describe problems here if they present. I skimmed over the instructions before but I'll have a proper look tomorrow.

Import From Folder/File is for manual/bulk imports. Auto-Import is only for folders of poker clients so HM can display the HUD during live hands.

The Pro Combo is 149.99 - the 54.99 you spent for the small stakes, I believe (but please don't quote me, I am tech support not sales support).
Please email your details/questions to sales@holdemmanager.com if you have any problems purchasing or need help/clarification on how to upgrade through our site/store.

It is in fact very easy to use one database for two HEMs in your own home network.
1. pick a computer you want to have the database on, a desktop is a good choice. it'll need to be always on when you're playing poker.
2. on this computer, edit pg_hba.conf to allow access from any IP on the network. (host all 192.168.1.0 trust). check postgresql.conf file has the "listen_address=*" line uncommented. Your network may not be 192.168.1.x - if not, use step 3 to find out what it is and repeat step 2 appropriately.
3. find out the IP address of the computer. "start / run / cmd / ipconfig" will do it, there are other ways too.
4. on the laptop, put the IP address you just found out to HEM's database control panel. if it connects, pick a database for default and celebrate
Thx Dave.
No, you never want to use auto-import for bulk imports or have an archive folder in an auto-import folder (or a sub-folder of an auto-import folder). Once the hands have been imported the first time it will have to continually scan all the duplicate hands/files, once every 5 seconds, and it will overload the importer and lag the HUD, or make it not work at all.
Import From Folder/File is for manual/bulk imports. Auto-Import is only for folders of poker clients so HM can display the HUD during live hands.

I just tried to connect from the other computer and it wouldn't work. When I tried to open from this (main) computer I got a fatal error relating to pg_hba.conf so I removed what I'd entered and it's working again now. Maybe I did something wrong.

It did say something about terminating a connection when I opened from here, not sure about that since it said it couldn't connect on the other computer. Maybe I should do this again and take note of the actual errors and warnings presented.

Hey Guys
I'm having a bit of difficult trying to track hands on Pokerstars, I have followed the instructions below:
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...+Options#poker stars
but nothing seems to happen, my HUD does not pop up on my tables.
Any advice? Thanks!

Ok I just played my first session on the TV PC and since I couldn't get the single DB running (yet) I've shared the HMArchive folders on the network and I import the other computer's archive when I start up. A couple of questions:
When I closed HEM on the TV PC and imported on the main PC, the last tournament summary and relevant hand history were not in the folder. I went back out and checked and they were still in the AppData/PokerStars folder. HEM was using the data but apparently didn't archive it. Is this normal?
Also, I've shared the HMArchive folder and all subfolders on both machines, but every time a new file is archived, it has a padlock on the icon and has to be manually shared, even though it is in a shared folder. This is probably some kind of Windows issue rather than HEM, but I thought this question has probably been asked here before so I'd let fly with it anyway.
Thanks for the help, gentlemen!

you probably need to add the "netmask" (the slash part) to ip address in pg_hba.conf always.

1) Go to C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager (Program Files (x86) if you have the 64bit version)
2) Right-click the HoldemManager.exe and choose "Properties".
3) Go to the Compatibility Tab and select "Run this program as an Administrator".
4) Do the same for HMHud.exe and DBControlPanel.exe
Do the same for pokerstars.exe
restart your PC
Other than that, I probably won't be of much help.
Thank you for responding. That wasn't the problem and I've been working with someone in support from holdem managers website for about a week trying to find a solution. I thought i saw a post in this forum about a previous version fixing this problem. Did you delete that post and do you know who posted it? Thanks
Hey Guys
I have worked out how to make the HUD appear on Pokerstars before you sit down and play your first hand on the table; however, the HEM doesn't actually track the stats whilst I am sat down.
Is there anyway to track live hands whilst just observing the table and also after being kicked off the table but still have the table open?
Thanks!

My HUD is sticking to the tourney lobby on RPM.
