Also, it was shown in another thread and confirmed by SNGwiz staff that the eqivalent ICM payout structure for this format is 60,10,10,10,10. So with this can be expect to see the "redline" fixed for these also?

Why is my HEM importing my 2 player HUSNG on stars as finishing in 4th place?
The stats don't make any sense.

How do I correct the finish positions?

I have just updated to the recent version will this help future imports?

Fozzy, im primarily a ftp player but recently have been playing on stars and i am finding that the HUD is all messed up on my stars tables, all of the stats are there but not next to the correct player, if i click and drag that box to the appropriate players on 1 table, they will be all out of order on another. how do i fix this?

Hi, I dont see a filter that lets me look specifically at river play. It lets me look at a bunch of different river scenarios, but not at the street overall as far as I can tell. If there is a way to look at that, I would love to know. Thanks.


Also, your EV calc tilts me to no end. You have it so if we ech put in 98% of stacks on the turn and one person has 4 outs, catches it and puts the last 2% in OTR w/ 100% equity, that the person fading 4 outs is -100% of the pot in AI EV. Its silly. Just make it so that any insignificant bet put in on the river is counted as being put in on the turn. It has its flaws obviously, but it will be much more accurate than it is now, afaik.

hi, my hud doesnt work on ongame (bestpoker). The table manager doesnt find the tables im at, and so the hud doesnt obviously show up either.

otherwise the import works just fine and the reports section is updating the right results all the time, so its just something with the tablemanager and hud.

can anyone help?

I asked them yesterday again, they said about at least a week ... thought also this is a easy change and really would like this feature as the games are pretty reginfested and I`m not that confident with the format yet

1) Close HM and the Table Manager.
2) Delete your existing position files, so HM will rebuild them to default.
3) Delete > \Holdem Manager\Config\pospref.txt and pospref2.txt, and pospref4.txt.
4) configure your poker client preferred seating and seating preferences in HM accordingly - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...or+Poker+Stars
5) Setup HUD pre-fetch: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...h+Walkthrough+ (if on stars or ftp). Also, under Options > Configure Auto Import Folders... > click Auto-Detect > OK
6) open one cash Table and adjust the HUD while observing. Move the stats with the right mouse key to the correct positions.
7) Then sit and play at least one hand so you can make sure the hero hud is positioned properly.
8) Table manager -> File -> Save positions
9) Now you can open further tables but you will always have to play at least one hand for the stats being moved to the correct positions.


I am not sure if what you are asking is possible, but filters are my weakest subject. Perhaps try searching or posting a thread in this sub-forum to see if there is a custom report that can do it for you.

This has been debated for years, so I am just going to post an excerpt from a canned response:

**CASH EV**

What EV can do / how it can be used:
Any allin situation, before the river, where a player has at least one "out" results in a EV $ Diff.
$Won + EV $ Diff = $USD EV
(AA vs KK is the most fun example... AK vs QQ is the most common "coinflip")

The "problem" what some people don't understand:
A: If a player has 0 outs, or
B: the allin situation takes place on the river there is NO EV DIFFERENCE.
C: If a shortstack goes allin preflop, and is called by two bigstacks. And the two bigstacks continue to bet on the flop, turn or river, this situation is treated as situation B. (EV = 0)
"You can't calculate all-in equity if you don't know the hands you are up against."
D: If you commit 80% of your stack with the best hand, but your last 20% goes allin with the worst hand, the $EV Difference will be calculated by your entire stack.

Why "EV by street" (which people who often see situation D want) is a bad thing:

Summary of that thread:
Example:
- you have AA, you raise to 80% of your stack, donkey calls, flop comes K83 rainbow.
- you then go all-in, no matter the flop, because you're committed.
- out of 100 times, 88 times donkey folds.
- 12 times donkeys calls with a set (33/88/KK).
What shall EV by street bogusly do? It shall do no computations for the 88 times where donkey folded--> "no more calculation".
What shall EV by street do the 12 times where donkey calls with a set? "Show that donkey sucked out and that you got unlucky".

So although you ran obviously uber-good by having donkey folding 88 times out of 100. EV by street focuses on the 12 times where donkey hit his set and tells that you're running below EV.
This is a well-known gambler fallacy. And this is why "EV by street" is completely bogus and should not be implemented.

Note: Tristanblue writes "it's precisely because EV by street does nothing to your adjusted-graph on these cases where the opponent folded that it is completely bogus."
But what if your opponent never folds? Suppose there are two players A and B.
Player A has AA, B has KK. (both have $100 stacks). They commit half their stack preflop and the flop comes AK6. Player B (KK has 1 "out") to win the hand.
If I would play this hand I would always make sure I'm allin on the turn.
However Player X always commits the rest of his stack on the flop and turn *except for one dollar*. And he commits on the river.
Of course, 4% of the time, the rivercard is the case King. Player X's EV Diff is always 0.
My EV Diff is -$4 (96 out of 100 times) and +$96 (4 out of 100 times)
So our EV graph actually looks the same after 100 of these hands.

So I primarily play on FT and everything works fine. I've tried getting my hud to work when I play on PS but I can't get it to work. The tables are showing up on table manager and I try relaunching the hud multiple times but can't get anything to show.

What do I need to do?

when playing heads-up on party on 6-max table the HUD thinks it is a hu table and each time i have to manually make it a 6-max table which i dont want to do each time since it is time consuming

this started when I updated to 1.11.06a. i dont remember which version i was using before but i didnt have that problem then

you got 0 when you "should have gotten" 0.67x the main pot which is ~200 so the ev difference is correct

edit: just to add: your ev is ~200 of the pot. it is not +200 to your starting stack, only +~100

so the difference between -96 and +100 is the ev difference

Make sure windows is fully updated and change your Windows Control Panel > Regional Settings Format to English (USA).

If you have any 3rd party security software installed please uninstall it temporarily, enable Windows Firewall's recommended settings through your Control Panel, and install Microsoft Security Essentials for antivirus/malware protection while we try to solve this.

Some of the most important things, imo:

- Remove the WinnerName, WinnerCards and WinnerWon from the Options > Hands View Column Selection.
- Turning off logging and deleting existing logs
- Vacuum/Full/Analyze, then Reindex - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...tabase+#manual
- Defrag last and make sure you stop the postgresql service before you defrag. I personally use Smart Defrag.
- Do a Cold Boot (Shut Down > Start) before you use HM again


This should have been fixed in the last release when they did the 9/10 max bug fix.

Is there a popup stat for check/fold flop as the PFR? Or would you just have to look at cbet stats and c/r as PFR and infer?

I never put in my code, and my trial ended. Now it says i need to activate but it doesnt even have a code... Ive tried to do all of the steps in forums but nothing works. It just will only let me choose pc #1 or pc#2 and it wont let me put in another code. What should i do?
