The trial covers omaha+nlhe. If I buy the license for ss omaha, will the NLHE tournies also be covered ?

Ok so I just bought the program and once I'm done installing it it tries to load and every time it stops and i get a pop up that says "The following error occured when trying to open the database. Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host". Then I click ok and it brings me to a Database Control Panel and says that it needs to know where to find the database. In this message it gives me four boxes to fill information in and there labeled- Server Name, Port Number, Login Name, and Password. I have no idea what to fill in these boxes with and I couldn't find anything on the website on how to handle this situation so can you guys please help me get this thing working? I'm not that good with computers, this is probably a basic problem but still any feedback would help....

Thanks!
HM should be able to do the majority of single tables automatically.

You need to request and import any/all your tournament histories and import those to HM. Stars does not write the tourney summaries to your hard drive, like FTP does.

Email support@pokerstars.com and ask for ALL your old Hand Histories and Tournament Summaries.

Then later, you want to import the summaries on a regular basis:

Pokerstars > Lobby > Requests > Tournament History .. > 200

Then you have to create a text file, from the email, to import to HM.

Did postgresql install properly when using the combo installer? Any error messages during install?

This is usually a firewall or windows update issue.

First try to reboot.

If no help, try this:

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Stop Service

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Start Service

If that doesnt help delete the \postgresql\8.x\data\postmaster.pid file, if you see it.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall, even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...ender+Problems

Please try following these FAQs, step by step:

1) http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...rt+PostgreSQL+
2) reinstall the same version of postgresql, using the same \data folder - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...g+Old+Database
3) http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/s...ead.php?t=8261

If that doesn't help you will probably have to reinstall PostgreSQL completely and reimport your hands using these instructions

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.
2) Use our combo installer to reinstall PostgreSQL. Make sure you un-check Holdem Manager during installation. http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/Hol...ager_Setup.exe

If that installer fails to install PostgreSQL, please reinstall PostgreSQL using the following instructions:
A) Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt > Right-Click > Run As Administrator
net user postgres /delete
B) Reboot.
C) Try installing this version of PostgreSQL - http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/Pos...3.9-v1.0.7.exe

I meant I actually mass imported them from somewhere else. Like I have a folder on my desktop with hands from when I was using pokertracker. I bulk imported them to HEM, but I'm trying to find them within HEM. Aren't they integrated into HEM somehow? If deleted the folder off my desktop, will those hands disappear from HEM?

fozzy,

A while ago I sent you hand histories from partypoker that had several import errors in them. You said you would take a look at them later that day but I never heard from you

today I had another bug happen with partypoker

even though I won a pot at showdown party software wrote in the hh:

Creating Main Pot with $97.86 with "villain"

and hem thinks I lost the pot. I had this happen once before. I deleted the hand and modified the hand history replacing "villain" with "hero" but I was unable to reimport the hand.

I sent the email to you on 15th of feb with the subject line "partypoker problem hand histories"

How can I get this corrected?

Why you do not add a funcion that we can click on Help and then "Update..." or something and search for new HEM updates?

Anything imported during the trial will remain in the DB but if you only purchase an omaha license you will not be able to import more nlhe hands.

Yes, they are imported to the DB. You should be able to search any of the player's names using the Change button. Cash Games > Reports > Click 'Change' and search your Poker Site name. You can also click the Arrow and choose Player Search. Do not click the drop-down arrow. That opens a list of previously searched names.

With the addition of Morny and other new HEM support staff I have been able to cut my hours the past few weeks so I had some of these import issues backed up in my email box. I imported them the other day and got 27 errors out of 6,949 hands. From what I could tell most of the errors were from incomplete hands. I assume this is a problem where the Party Client doesn't write the hands properly, but I am not sure yet. Do you use FreePHG? Which OS? Is the party client set to Run as Admin along with HM? I am checking with my colleagues that play on PP to see if it is common or if it is possible (hopefully) to request your old hands from party support like you can from ftp/stars.

yes i use FPHG. I've set up HM to import from both the phg and party folders. I am using vista 32-bit with UAC turned off.

my only problem atm is that some of the hands I won are showing as losers (and somewhere probably the other way around). if i see any of these hands how should I proceed to correct them?

let me know if I can provide you with any hand histories or if there is anything else I can do to help you.

I've got a big database with almost 1M of hands played by me archived from the last 2 years so if you need any help just ask

thanks for helping

Hey guys, i recently signed up for Pacific Poker through the Holdem Manager 'Get it Free' link so that after I earn 75 reward points on Pacific, I'm supposed to get $100 to use on any Holdem Manager Product. However, as soon as I let them know I earned the 75 points the simply stopped responding to my emails.

Has anyone else tried this promotion? Any different results? PokerTracker offers the same deal but I haven't tried it and probably won't since i don't want to sign up for another dumb site and FT and PS has everything I need.

Yes, I just 4 tabled on nl5 rush tables and it worked quite well.

Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.net/hmupdate

0) Make sure the FTP Lobby > Languages > Language Options are set to English.

1) The tables need to be sized appropriately. (600 - 750 range) If your Rush table is outside of that range a pop-up message in the HUD window will advise you.

2) Make sure your HUD doesn't overlap names on the table. We're using a screen scrape method for various reasons and the names must be visible so we can read them.

3) Most performance issues can be resolved by changing the table window size even by a small amount.See #1 and make sure you have the rush update installed http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/HmUpdateRush.exe

4) See this post for a update if you wish to get better performance from the RUSH HUD
http://forums.holdemmanager.com/127379-post119.html

5) Test the Hud out on a normal table first to verify its working

6) Dont use any Aero or other windows themes, change it to the default xp/vistawin7 theme

XP http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u...e/classic.mspx
Vista http://www.microsoft.com/enable/trai...sta/theme.aspx
Win7
Windows 7 http://pc-tutorials.suite101.com/art...s_in_windows_7

7) Turn Cleartype Off
Vista http://www.i4u.com/article7805.html
Windows 7 http://maximumpcguides.com/windows-7...off-cleartype/

8) Turn Avatars off in Full Tilt go to Options and untick Avatars

9) Switch between Classic and Racetrack in FT by going to Options > Table View

10) If you are using graphics mods you need to restore the default FTP graphics.

http://www.fozzypokermods.com/ftprestore.html

You should be able to use the Selective Restore Package and install the BasePods Classic and BasePods RaceTrack so that HMHUD can properly read the names from the basepod. The area around the player name text must be the default colors of Black or White.

11) Reduce number of tables

12) Please give HoldemManager Administrator rights -

1) Go to C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager (Program Files (x86) if you have the 64bit version)
2) Rightclick the HoldemManager.exe and choose "Properties".
3) Go to the Compatibility Tab and select "Run this program as an Administrator".
4) Do the same for HMHud.exe and DBControlPanel.exe

You need to email sales@holdemmanager.com not support. I would assume that support sent it to the sales team and they are awaiting confirmation from the poker site. If you would like me to look into it personally please PM me your email address used.

I think I just found your email in our support bucket and assigned it to the sales team.

Typically the notes are stored in C:\Program Files (x86)\Full Tilt Poker

If you aren't sure you can Right-Click > Properties on the Shortcut to Full Tilt Poker and check the Target Path.

Notes are in a file called YourUserName.xml.

When you exported the HM stats to your notes it backed up your original notes by renaming it to YourUserName.bak0. You can simply delete the current YourUserName.xml that has the stats in the notes. Then you rename the YourUserName.bak0 to YourUserName.xml.

We don't accept site transfers any longer, for any products, AFAIK.

When is the FTP pre-fetch getting fixed? If the HUD works on rush tables, it shouldn't be hard to make pre-fetch work on regular tables.

Same exact thing happened to me with Pacific Poker and HEM. Signed up through the link. HEM emailed me and said that Pacific was not honoring the link. I emailed Pacific support. Took 5 days to get a response. They said it was being forwarded to the proper division and I would get a response in 96 hours (wtf). That was 8 days ago.

I emailed HEM to say that I was involved with Pacific support trying to resolve the issue. And to email HEM when it was solved. But no word from Pacific.

Looking for some help guys. Running holdem manager on a win7 x64 build. Just recently reformatted my machine because machine kept freezing/locking up and crashing. I suspected it the reason was a virus.

Post reformat I've just about installed everything I need and had the same system lock three times in 2 days. Neither times did I have poker apps or holdem manager running, of course postgress was still running in background services.

Started thinking it could be a hardware fault but then I just checked event viewer and all times sys lock was caused by postgres service.

Anyone any ideas on what I can do or possible work arounds?

LOL ARGH!!! Your misunderstanding my question.

I have bulk imported hand histories from pokertracker. They are not in the archives. I imported them through HEM by choosing the folder in poker tracker with all the histories. I deleted poker tracker with all my hand histories from there. Now if I want to reformat my computer where are the poker tracker hands?

I already know where my HEM hands that were imported from FTP are.
Holdem Manager Support Quote
02-23-2010 , 07:16 PM
I explained that previously. They get imported to the DB but do not get archived when you bulk import them. If you deleted the original hands from the poker tracker folder (I can't imagine why you would do this without copying them to your \HMArchive first) your only option is to export them from your current DB to archive them.
