That whole scene in the woods came out of nowhere. I know some of you predicted they were turning JewBear into an evil character but I thought they abandoned that idea the next episode with how he dealt with psychic grave digger guy and kind of explained him beating up wife-beater guy.

So shutting this series off 5 minutes into the first episode was a good decision?

I understand that perhaps the hospital scene might have maybe been written prior to 28 days laster, but the fact remains that 28 days later "OWNS" that scene and to then use it to open your zombie series is magnificently stupid.

Also, the odds of there being a single lone surviving doctor in the CDC is pretty ridiciulous. The place is fortified and has supplies, there would be lots of folks there.

Feels like a rip off of I Am Legend

You know, even in a world where the word "zombie" doesn't exist, I don't think the term humanity would've come up with would be "walkers". I think it would be more like "biters".

So the Winnebago breaks down because it needs a hose. But, uh-oh, the bit guy is getting worse! So we have an annoying maudlin scene where they have to make a hard decision and everyone cries about it....

and then everybody just drives off. Including the RV. The whole hose subplot is completely forgotten.
LOLOLOL I totally missed that. Really funny stuff. That's not nitpicking at all, they made a real effort to let us know that the thing was ****ed, and referenced some off-hand request for a different hose that happened in the beginning of the season. That is really sloppy.

How would showing this sequence add to your enjoyment of the show? Who cares?
well considering they knew about the F'ed up hose several episodes ago, you'd think they'd have had dodged that throwaway scene... several episodes ago, thus precluding the need for the breakdown scene.

Why didn't they scavenge any of the weapons outside of the CDC? Could be useful...

They had fake steam. It's almost like the entire show had been building up to that breakdown scene and then nothing.

I'll read the thread later (pick axe was cool tho) but how did the racist brother (once again only guy with a chance of surviving) leave the camp behind without a 2nd thought when his one handed bro is still out there, very likely to come back the camp...
painfully bad episode

I so wish younger slightly hot sister would bite of the face of older ****** sister.. show would be an insta classic if they did lol

Pretty much this. Especially considering it's a six episode season. The living blonde was tilting the hell out of me and I was just gawking in disbelief when her sister woke up as a zombie and was about to bite her face off while the older sis was just being a f'ing noob lol!

I'm not exactly predicting or assuming Shane will become evil but I was pretty sure something (Shane aiming to shoot Rick even if not serious qualifies) would happen when they both went to the woods armed, having disagreed on a crucial thing beforehand.

This show has gotten really really bad. I had several moments where I yelled "stfu" at my tv because the scene was so bad and boring. There are so many stupid holes in the plot and general errors, things that make zero sense in the context of this show, unless the general theme is everyone is a moron 24/7.

I do have one question though, what exactly was the reason for Rick, Shane, and old man to go hiking through the forest? The whole thing seemed incredibly contrived.

I am basically only watching this for the same reasons LFS listed.
1. See what happens
2. Zombies

because this show is close to True Blood bad/corny.

Shane says to Rick: "Let's go do our sweep." Apparently they sweep the perimeter regularly for zombies in daylight. What felt contrived or too convenient for me was the old guy catching Shane by surprise while he was aiming, but after rewatching the scene I see that they were going all three, the old guy just happened to rejoin them right then.

the fact that nothing stupid or accidentally dumb with major implications happens makes it unbelievable. in zombieland, all kinds of idiotic **** would occur fo reals. someone should have been accidentally shot like 15x already.

oh wait, the guy tripped and dropped the key down the hole.

i'm wrong

i mean, even in pulp fiction, it happens.

There just so much fail with this show. There's still not one interesting character. The Asian and the crossbow guy had nothing this episode. The old guy could be interesting but isn't there yet. I cringed and rolled my eyes when the black lady kissed the bit guy on the cheek and I think it was supposed to be an emotional moment for me, the viewer. The black guy and kid from the pilot can't come back soon enough.

The RV thing isn't a nit and could have been solved with one line of dialogue, which is what is so stupid about it.

Why were there so many dead bodies outside the CDC? It didn't look like they were eaten by zombies or died in some kind of firefight. They were just laying there.

Really liked how they handled the sister thing, built up the tension and then released it with perfect timing. This show is like good sex sometimes!
