Jesse really owned his parents - pretty cool, pretty cold.

awesome episode, the ending...wow. Great stuff with Jesse.

Man so much greatness in this episode.

The stuff with Jesse and his parents was awesome.

Saul was the best though... <3 Saul Goodman

Anyway, this is really really interested where this is going with the pollos guy and how he has so much pull to get those guys not to kill Walt. Pollos guy must know that Walt will cook whether he likes it or not. Also gives us a view to the future in that Walt will not be able to get out once he's in (most likely). Or they could team up and Walt would be catapulted to uber badass as well. WANNA SEE MORE

The Jesse stuff was pretty awesome. Did his Grandmother leave him that house, or was he just crashing there? Did his parents blackmail him with the meth lab thing? It's what I remember but not 100%.

Show is awesome. I do prefer badass Walt Breaking Bad though.

What? He bought the house with his drug money. He apparently only had $400,000 which is why he had Saul drive the price down from $875,000.

Tbh, I didn't really understand what was going on with the whole house thing. It didn't seem realistic that they were willing to take a $450K loss that quickly just based on the lawyer mentioning a meth lab.

Had to wiki this because I forgot:

Jesse lived in his late aunt's house that he inherited, but his parents kicked him out, since they legally own the house and discovered that he was cooking crystal meth in the basement.

So ya I guess he's claiming what's his.

I thought some black dudes were gonna drive by and **** the twins up.

Someone remind me who the real old guy was that told them his name.

Yeah, which is why I asked. It's the difference between what Jesse did being awesome and what he did being pretty high up on the douche scale.

Thanks for the info, I had it right except for the aunt/grandmother part :/

Oh ok, that makes more sense then.

He's Tuco's father (or uncle) who was there with Walt and Jesse when Tuco was killed by Hank. He wouldn't give the police any info, but was willing to talk to his people.

And yeah the info about Jesse and the house does make it more that he was just getting his house back.

Do Jesse’s parents have any recourse here?

I’m probably missing something, but weren’t they able to effectively leverage his meth cooking operation against him earlier in the series? Or is it all a done deal now, in that they would stand to lose both the house and their 400K if they were to turn him in?

Legal minds help me out here. I'm confused and that seemed way too easy.

As far as the house goes this is how I remember it.

Jesse was "left" the house by his aunt because he was the only one that visited her or something.

His parents own the house in that they had the deed. They kicked him out when they found out he was cooking meth in the basement even though they knew that the aunt really wanted Jesse to have the house and it would make Jesse homeless.

The parents refurbished the house which from the comments on the show cost about 400k because they said they were breaking even on the sale. They were trying to sell the house for 875k and make 475k profit even though it was really Jesse's house.

Cliff Notes: Parents are trying to make profit off a house that was really left to Jesse and Jesse got it back without the parents losing money but without them making any money.

omgomg @ that ending.

Odenkirk with the bluetooth headset for the whole ep was great.

so does that mean its the last we see of the twins? its safe to assume that pollos dude has huge influence and once he tells the twins to back off its pretty much over. sucks if thats the case

Episode #3 preview is up on AMCTV. Judging from that, it's far from the last we see of the cousins.
03-29-2010 , 01:24 AM
this could be the best episode of the entire series. every non-skyler-at-work scene was awesome. and everything ties into previous seasons so well, it's like they've had this all planned from the start.

is this your first time watching a tv show?
03-29-2010 , 03:42 AM
This season is going to be so hard to wait a week between episodes. First ep was good, but this one was so far beyond.
03-29-2010 , 07:29 AM
so the religious parallelism was definitely strengthened this episode with the twins using the Ouija board and all.

so walt works for pollo in exchange for protection. we all saw that coming but we probably couldn't have guessed pollo was going to be so directly connected with the twins. i see walt going for a power grab somewhere in there this season and further moving up the chain in the meth market. going to be siiiiiiiiiiick.

series ends with walt dying as the head of the drug trade in his city with direct connections to all the powerheads in the business. book it.

IIRC he lived with her and took care of her (fed her?) when she had cancer all the way up until she died.

Heh. Vince Gilligan told The San Francisco Chronicle that they're pretty much making it up as they go along.

Excellent 2nd episode. Getting the pizza on the roof was really impressive.
03-29-2010 , 09:41 AM
Does anyone know how much time has passed between when Walt started cooking meth and the end of the 2nd episode?
03-29-2010 , 09:51 AM
ep 2 >>>>>>>>>>> ep 1. love angry angry walt - the pepper spray scene, the pizza lol. great episode.
