Decent episode, looks to set up a lot of different angles for the season, with requisite amount of tension (especially with wifey knowing what he's doing now). Don't expect his retirement to last long...

Are the "zomg worst show evar" people satisfied with how they explained the crash from the S2 finale, or at least accept that TV shows can take creative licenses with reality?

the cousins are instantly my favorite part of this season. anyone have any idea what the boot-ring thing means? obviously some mexican ultra-gangster thing, but...?

this season could be really bad or really bad ass. I think after how great the last episode of season 2 was i was kinda disappointed with the first episode

Surprisingly I wasn't at all put off by the cheesiness, and found myself quite enjoying a lot of the sequences, including the last one. They're probably getting a little too biblical for some, and normally that would include me, but something about this show allows me to suspend my disbelief and enjoy the ride like none other.

Excellent episode, amazing show imo.

Glad you used quotation marks, because she said she knew, but I think it was really some kind of a logical guess. Doubt she knew for sure until Walt admitted it. Or maybe they'll prove me wrong, and go on to explain in a later episode exactly how and when she did know everything...

they're his cousins. there's mention of them in the episode where hank shot tuco. he said his cousins were coming, which was why walt and jesse went to hide and were surprised to see it was hank who pulled into tuco's uncle's house. (the old, bell-ringing guy)

So they got the sketch from the old guy I guess.

Walt's PA scene in the gym was the kind of uncomfortable scene I used to cringe (in a good way) through back when I loved "The Office." (UK + US Seasons 1-2.5)

I wouldn't be shocked if the offer for 3m/$3m was for him running the super warehouse and training someone just so they could off him at the end.
