Pittsburgh looks like the real deal this year. I'd also go with Fleury.

Who wins?
Kunitz, Stastny and Varlamov wins, but it's somewhat close.
Niemi is effectively useless.
A lot of Havlat's perceived value is a carryover from playing in CHI and raking in the points there. Don't be fooled, he's in MIN now.

^Made that trade between I needed to get rid of one of my centers for a RW. I understood that as a lost but the position imo would have made up for it. Unfortunatly they decide to switch Sharp's position from C --> C/RW.

I did. Staal's 26 PIM caused my 22-14 lead in PIM to turn into a 40-22 loss in one of my head-to-head matchups. Good thing they gave him a two minute minor, a 10-minute misconduct and a game misconduct all with 40 seconds left in the game.

How'd I do? H2H. I'm pretty much throwing away the +/- but I think I have a good mixture of G/A/PIM/PPP.

Surprisingly no. That one was only -5. Although I just lost Kovalchuk and Toews to injuries...

It was the one that included:

Thornton (-3)
Heatley (-4)
Nash (-5)
Coburn (-4)
E. Johnson (-3)
Timonen (-3)
Ryan (-2)
Stuart (-4)

Another trade proposal sent to me...

I give:
Dustin Brown
Zach Bogosian

I get:
Bobby Ryan
Christian Ehrhoff

Brown and the kings are really hot right now and riding the Kopitar express pretty well. However, you'd think Ryan would have more points by the end of the season right? Bogosian isn't doing too well and well, Ehrhoff is my homeboy.

Accept this immediately. Bobby Ryan is the perfect buy low candidate right now. Ideal LW/RW eligibility. Bogosian/Ehrhoff won't impact the bottom line as they both suck.

hey guys i need some advice... i didn't want to do it but i wound up drafting Kessel and Hossa on the RW to start the year. Both would be back by Thanksgiving (reportedly) so I figured I'd be weak on the right side for 6 weeks, there's like 40 more weeks to go. Both were value picks too.

but unfortunately, injuries have hit me HARD.

it's a head-to-head league, cash prizepool, and rosters are:
3 LW - 3 C - 3 RW
5 D
3 Utility

w/ 2 IR spots and 3 bench spots

There are 13 categories: G, A, +/-, PIM, SOG, SH%, PPP, SHP, SV%, GAA, GS, W, SO

Here is my team:

Z. Parise (NJD) ------- E. Staal (CAR) ---- M. Hossa (CHI)*
I. Kovalchuk (ATL)* - A. Kopitar (LA) ---- P. Kessel (TOR)*
T. Vanek (BUF) ------- J. Arnott (NSH)* - M. Ryder (BOS)
____________------ R. Kesler (VAN) --- B. Little (ATL)
____________ ------ C. Drury (NYR) ---- R. Callahan (NYR)
_____________------ B. Laich (WSH) ----A. Kotalk (NYR)

S. Weber (NSH) -- S. Souray (EDM)*
B. Burns (MIN) --- Z. Bogosian (ATL)
T. Enstrom (ATL) - R. Suter (NSH)

S. Mason (CBJ)
P. Rinne (NSH)
D. Ellis (NSH)

so...

I'm obviously trying to get more balance on the left side. I'm in talks of a trade for the following:

C----Eric Staal (CAR)
RW--Ryan Callahan (NYR)
C----Chris Drury (NYR)
C----Ryan Kesler (VAN)

for

W-------Bobby Ryan (ANH)
C,RW---Nathan Horton (FLA)
LW------Vin Prospal (NYR)
RW-----Jarome Iginla (CGY)

...so my roster would be:

Kovalchuk ---- Kopitar ---- Hossa
Parise----------Arnott-------Ryder
Vanek----------Tavares-----Kessel

Souray---Weber
Burns----Enstrom
Bogosian

UTY - B. Ryan
UTY - V. Prospal
UTY - B. Laich

BNCH - Horton
BNCH - R. Suter
BNCH - Kotalik

add in Iginla who you forgot to add to your final roster, bump Hossa to line 2, and bump Ryder into util or bench... seems pretty good.

okay so I couldn't get a trade goin in my league, but I noticed Matt Moulson & Jamie Benn were FA so I dropped Callahan and Drury (I'm a Ranger fan :-/ ).

My roster:

I. Kovalchuk (ATL)* -- A. Kopitar (LAK) -- M. Hossa (CHI)*
Z. Parise (NJD) ------- E. Staal (CAR) ---- P. Kessel (TOR)*
T. Vanek (BUF) ------- J. Arnott (EDM)* -- M. Ryder (BOS)
M. Moulson (NYI) --- R. Kesler (VAN) ----- A. Kotalik (NYR)

S. Weber (NSH) --- Z. Bogosian (ATL)
B. Burns (MIN) ---- T. Enstrom (ATL)
R. Suter (NSH)

S. Mason (CBJ)
J. Theodore (WSH)
P. Rinne (NSH)

Bench:
RW --- B. Little (ATL)
D ----- J. Spacek (MON)
C ----- J. Tavares (NYI)
LW --- J. Benn (DAL)

im also offering RW B. Little (ATL) & RW A. Kotalik (NYR) for RW K. Versteeg (CHI) & C M. Frolik (FLA)

I'd say it's pretty much a wash. Getzlaf is off to sort of a slow start this year as are the Ducks and part of that could be attributed to still recovering from surgery during the offseason. He's not quite in game shape yet I don't think and it'll probably be another month or so before he is.

He's good for more PIMs than Thornton but the rest is about even. I'd even go with Thornton at the moment, I think he'll end up having the better year.

Alright guys….tough question…out of these 3 goalie…what 2 would u pick for the remainder of the season…I cant seem to decide…:

Emery
Varlamov
Bryzgalov

I need some input…it's a tough choice..I can only have 2

which two? I personally would lean towards Emery and Bryzgalov. Varlamov hasn't been too good yet to wrestle the clear #1 from Theodore, they're still splitting a lot of games. Varlamov may be 5-0 in 6 GP but he's only got an .895 SV% and a 3.20 GAA. meanwhile Theodore's only 3-2 in 8 GP but has much better peripherals.

Sportscentre this morning, when showing the Coyotes highlights (and Bryzgalov's SO, his third of the year already), were saying that Bryzgalov and LaBarbera are fighting for the #1 in PHX which just didn't make sense to me. they've only given LaBarbera two starts, and he came in after Bryzgalov started poorly against NYR earlier this week.

from what I can see, Bryzgalov and Emery are both clear number 1's, and while the Coyotes aren't nearly as good as the Caps/Flyers, Bryzgalov is the best goalie of the three if you ask me. so I would take Bryzgalov and Emery.
