This.

It's tough to get all the pieces to fall into place perfectly to make a 6-for-6 deal work. Much better would be to ship Parise or Kovalchuk to someone straight up for a goalie. LW is a sparse position, I'm betting that either of those two should fetch you any goalie in the league.

Thoughts on this roster? I thought I had a pretty good team, but I've been struggling pretty badly so far...

C - Getzlaf, Lecalvier, Fischer, Krejci
LW - Kovalchuck, Versteeg
RW - Kessel, Alfredsson, Hossa, Afinogenov
Multiple - McDonald, Briere
D - Gonchar, Chara, Del Zotto, Kaberle, Spacek, Whitney
IR - Borque, Smyth

G - Lundquist, S Mason, Quick, Roloson
IR - Lehtonen

10 Teams, Deep Benches and...

Forwards/Defensemen Stat Categories: Goals (G), Assists (A), Plus/Minus (+/-), Powerplay Points (PPP), Shots on Goal (SOG)
Goaltenders Stat Categories: Wins (W), Goals Against Average (GAA), Saves (SV), Save Percentage (SV%), Shutouts (SHO)

seems okay to me. might suffer in +/- but you've got several elite guys who have logged little to no time (Hossa, Gonchar, Kessel) and seemingly elite or semi-elite guys who have completely and totally underperformed (Krejci, Lecavalier).

i'd say so. unless you can extract some value from someone, maybe out of LW or something.

Alright, I have 3 goalies, Huet, Ward and Halak. Unfortunatley I'm not getting my quota 3-games per week with only Huet starting for me.

Do I pick up...

Howard
Elliot
Hedberg
Legace

or just try to nab someone playing back-2-back games?

I probably just need 1 game of them anyways.

I'm assuming these are the total stats of the 4 players on each side?

Either way, it's fairly close but I'd probably want the Kiprusoff side.

Kippur > Mason
Pronger > Suter
Wolski =< Vanek
Toews < Kopitar

imo

Elliot seems like the best bet, isn't he? Isn't Leclaire hurt right now? (I'm too lazy to look it up)

if not... just rotate through with trying to catch Howard when he starts, which is often enough.

even though bogosian is the better defenseman enstrom is a good fantasy stat feeder. he's been extremely healthy iirc and is having a career year in offensive numbers.

not piling on or anything, but i'll just point out that kopitar has 2 points in his last 7 games, a big drop off from the pace he was at over his first 22 games. obv he is still the second coming of christ to some of you, and he is decent, at least a PPG by the end of the season, but that pace wasn't sustainable. i'd be impressed if he's still in the top 10 in total points at the end of the year.

people should start selling Del Zotto now before too many people notice he had 1 goal and was a -10 in November.

Beautiful #2 - It's Saturday night. Opponent has 2 players playing tomorrow and the score is 6-5 for me. The stage is set for an important Sunday night. WAIT. A hollar in the distance. He's only started his goalie once - in a league where you require a minimum two starts. HAHA! That's what you get for putting everyone as backup after Ryan Miller got you a shutout in your fast game you SKANK!

That changes to the score to a 9-2. With no real categories where he can catch me it's fist pumping time. WAIT. I'm down 4 PIM. Lucky for me I have an IR and am rotating players though and though. Who do I choose? Only 2 games going on tomorrow. Eeny-meenie-miney-moe, GEORGES PARROS! Come on right? It's GEORGE THE STACHE PARROS! AND WHAT DOES HE DO? A FIGHT IN THE FIRST PEROID. YEE HAW

Quick question. I have to sit either Semin (@TB) or Afinogenov (@Tor).

Points for G/A/ +/-

Tor has awful tending and just got blasted, so im leaning towards playing Afinogenov but Semin has played well since returning and Ove is set to return and reunite the big line against a TB team who has allowed 3+ in 4 of 5.

Ugh, not sure how this works but my opponent started Ryan Miller on the first day and got his shutout. He then stuck both his goaltenders as BN thus having that .00 GAA and 1.00SV% and shutout. Our league does 2 games minimum but as of now (new week) it's displaying as him getting the points for those categories. HM?

What site are you using?

Are you sure he didn't get the second game played? Sometimes NHL teams do strange things like putting in a backup goaltender for the last two minutes of the game because he can skate back to the bench faster.
