id drop kozlov and add eriksson... malone is a close 2nd assuming ur league rewards PIMs, malone = 40-50 pts, 100 PIM, usually a good +/1 (he was +4 on tbl last year), 140 SOG, 7-10 PPG

but eriksson beats kozlov

eriksson: 25-35-60/82, 55 PIM, probably a positive +/-, 160 SOG, 5-7 PPG,

kozlov: 25-30-55/82, 28 pim, ATL usually yields minus +/-, 150 SOG, 8-9 PPG

*kozlov will be 38 in may 2010, he may be hit tough with the compressed olympic schedule, ill be surprised if he doesn't sucomb to some injury inevitably

I already have Eriksson, I dropped Kozlov for Neal and Malone and Wolski are still there, thinking of dropping either Brunette or Burrows for one of them, more so Malone.

James Neal should not be available in any league. Pick him up immediately.

potential for rest of year? Lecav only had 67 points last year and has gone down 3 years in a row

I think so. If not right now, then perhaps by the end of the season. If not, then next year sometime for sure, once he's had a full year to gel with Tavares.

I like Team B. Kopitar is bound to cool off.
Lecavalier will start to score, Burrows is just waiting for Daniel Sedin to get healthy and return to his spot with the Sedin twins. I don't think Lidstrom will continue to fall off, DET is just too good. And Halak apparently has taken over the #1 starter role in MTL.

it's a head to head weekly league with NO game restrictions (i.e. you can start as many forwards/defence/goalie games as you want over the season), and starts 2C/2LW/2RW/3F/4D/2G/5BN

B's goalies are Mason, Mason, and Niemi, A's goalies are Ward, Price, Bryzgalov and Anderson

A has four defencemen total: Weber, Chara, Rivet, and Markov(IR), B has 5 total before the trade, all active

you really think Lecav will start scoring like he did 2 years ago, this is what everyone said last year but it never happened. And you really think Kopitar is going to cool off that much, hes scored 30 goals as a 20 year old, on a horrible LA kings team. And is now playing on a playoff team.

No. And yes, they did say that. I agree that we'll never see 2006 Lecavalier ever again. But to say he's just going to continue to free fall, point-wise, I think is silly. He had only 67 points last year, I see that as a floor. I think he's a good buy-low candidate in the sense that a dead cat can bounce pretty high. He still gets top line minutes, plays on TB's PP1, shoots 300 times a year. When he eventually gets traded to the Canadiens, be it this year or sometime soon, look out!

Kopitar is leading the league with 24 points in 15 games. That's one ahead of Ovechkin, three ahead of Marleau and 5 ahead of most everyone else. He's on pace for a 131-point season.

How many people over the last 5 years have breached 110 points? Crosby, Malkin, Ovechkin, Thornton, anyone else I'm missing. Kopitar is not in the same class as those guys. I see him in the top-10 for points this season, maybe top-5 if he gets lucky.

Also, I don't think that the Kings are a playoff team just yet. Yes, if we started the playoffs today they'd be in. But this team has been so bad for so many years that I don't think we can label them a playoff team after a hot 15-game start. I'd need another 15-20 games before I'm fully convinced that they're this good.

I fully agree that Kopitar >> Lecavalier right now, but once Kopitar cools down and Lecavalier heats up, that ">>" might change to a ">" or even a ">=".

The package B gets is much, much better. There are a 100 scrubs just like Giordano all over the waiver wire, and going the other way is the hands-down best fantasy defenceman over the last 5 years, Lidstrom.

12 games is a reasonable sample size for Vinny, I know Kopitar is not going to score 131 im not that stupid but he can still score alot 90+

the real point of the deal is to get me a better goalie and i dont that im getting enough there to warrant giving up kopitar.

kopitar is hot but he's been showing signs of being a 100 point player... look at his age and his seasons 07-09... hes 22 now and has a solid foundation for a team, so i think he's still undervalued after his streak wears off
