Have golflogix on my phone, only used it a few times but seems good. Just gives yardage to middle. Pay for more options .

I pay the $20 a year for golf logix for the full info. Gives distances to doglegs, sand traps, water, etc. so does front middle back of green.

I think in the 2.5 years I've used it there have been 2 courses that it was either way way off or didn't work at all.
I find when I stand in a marked sprinkler or such at most places the difference is about 2-3 yards at most.

Make sure it settles on a distance though for a more than a few seconds before trusting it. It always has to settle.

I just got golf logix, not to sure about it yet. It's been off a few times and yardage is so important.

Got a free one but it uses up so much data.

didn't even think about that. just checked and realized I have unlimited data

The free golflogix one seemed to work pretty well. Besides center of the green distance you could also drag your target anywhere and get the distance to the target, so you could use it to get distance to bunkers and hazards.

Does anyone know where I can find trackman data for nxt tour s vs e6.
Played a few rounds with both now and want to see if the numbers match up to what I am seeing

Only for two rounds, then you have to pay for it.

Handicap question: Is it common for a club to post a score for you?

I played Thursday and got in 11 holes with a buddy before we got rained on. I hung out in the clubhouse for an hour, the rain stopped, and then there was a league that needed a sub so I played 9 with them (and that scorecard got turned in).

I didn't post a score immediately for Thursday since I didn't have time to sit down and think about what to post (11 holes plus 9 holes). Saturday I finally sat down, looked at the card for the first 11, filled in my scores for the last 9, did some ESC and took some averages and posted an 85 with Thursday's date.

Then I played a tournament Friday, Saturday, Sunday at another course.

I look today, and I've got the scores I posted for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, plus an 80 posted for Saturday at my home course.

Is it possible my club or the handicap committee looked over scorecards from Thursday, maybe on Saturday morning? Like they knew I played Thursday and hadn't posted a score (yet) so they threw something in for me (with Saturday's date).

Or is it more likely I misclicked a few times while entering scores on my phone? They didn't see the scorecard from the first 11 holes, and the scorecard from the league would have been a 43 at best, so the 80 doesn't make much sense anywhere. Or the fact that it's dated on Saturday when I was at another course.

My club posts all tournament and league scores for us. Would be weird for them to post a casual round score for me.

Haha I love this. Did he just not post his 68 or did he lie about shooting 68? Either way, he gets what he deserves.

in Myrtle Beach and got 2 rounds in so far with two more tomorrow and Thursday...

rounds went as follows:

47-41

48-40

WTF. both started at ~9am, you'd think being sober and after the range I'd be better on the fronts, but after multiple bowl hits and 6-7 beers, I get hot on the back.

**** on both days even 10,11,12 I was +4 then finished in the zone (for me at least).

sucks my balls. I started yday bogey/quad/double/bogey with 3 penalties but finished par/par/bogey/birdie/birdie/par.

think I need to get up early tomorrow and have vodka for breakfast.

Can someone recomend an inexpensive, quality brand for golf shorts/pants? I currently just wear whatever plaid or khaki shorts I pick that day, but obviously looking for something made to golf in.

Is the difference even big enough to worry about it?

Golf shorts are pretty damn expensive imo. They look nice though. I wish I had more money - I'd buy all kinds of nice golf clothes.

I got a pair of UnderArmor $60 shorts for $28 on Father's day weekend. That won't help you now though. Fwiw, they are super comfortable. More comfy than my regular khaki shorts or cargo shorts or whatever I wear. One thing I like aboug cargos, though, is they have that extra side pocket where I carry my extra ball. The UA shorts have standard 2 pocket front and 2 pocket back, so I have to carry my extra ball in front right pocket but honestly I don't really notice it being tight in there.

I'd say the difference isn't enough to "worry" about. When I play nicer courses I do try to wear nicer clothes though. Cargo shorts fly at munis and 9 hole courses but when you play a nice course it feels good to look good.

Yea. Im just worried about comfort. I naturally sweat more than most and my shorts just stick to my legs. So much so that Ive ripped a hole in the past 2 pairs of regular (lighter weight) plaid shorts ive worn while golfing just from bending down to pick up balls or even getting in the cart. Lolme

My shorts are pretty loose. I sweat a ton, too. I always wear dri-fit boxer-briefs when I play golf. They hold your balls nice and snug and are super comfortable. I think they are like $13 a pair but well worth it. Then my cargo shorts are loose over them and never noticed them sticking to my legs.
