Haven't started yet. I am getting some HD cameras shipped in this week so I can film in 1080p HDTV. Happy to report that I followed up the 87 with an 86 and another 87 (winning skins 11-7 and 16-4) - also had a playing lesson with my pro and started off -2 through 5 holes before heating up and going +10 over the last 4 (lol) - today starts 13 straight days of golf so will try to keep the train going.... and sold the irons, too!

Seriously? Maybe they take losses on the clubs they sell and think they'll make up for those losses and then some by selling their own line of apparel? If it's actually their own and not just a gimmicky "hey we're 59 too!" thing.

Sorry I keep bringing it up. I'm just trying to figure it out.

Hi Spenda, never too late to give it a second shot IMO. I am sure you could give a ton of value to the thread in order to help make it a success (be it a funny story or w/e). I think building a community is important here.

We're a pretty tight-knit group as it is, I think the community is fine if we just accept it for what it is, the smallest sub-forum on 2p2 that gets constant traffic.

The content:noise ratio is probably the best on 2p2.

How does the handicap formula change for when one shoots under the course rating?

If you use the handicap differential calculator found here: http://www.pgaprofessional.com/handicap.html
and you type in say 67 on a 72/138 course, you will get a differential of -4.1. If you type in 67 on a 72/113 course, you will get a differential of -5.
Obviously this makes no sense, so there must be a different formula for rounds that are less than the course rating.

Here's the example they use:

Adjusted Gross Score - USGA Course Rating: 69 - 71.5 = -2.5
Difference x Standard Slope Rating: -2.5 x 113 = -282.5
Result / Slope Rating: -282.5 / 125 = -2.26
Handicap Differential (rounded): -2.3

If I change the slope rating to 100 (easier course), the differential changes from -2.26 to -2.825.

This does not compute...
