In the first game of a double header (and we had just gotten there), the White Sox had the bases loaded with no outs bottom of 9th down by 5 and prior to next hitter I bet they would score <=1 run, my friend (Sox homer) bet >=2. We bet "a reasonable hat", which obv led to interpretation lols.

ETA: At least three girls yelled at me "are you from Kansas City?" after this. (I said yes, obv. Also said nothing else to them, also obv. Top lol at talking to new people irl.) So there's an idea for you talking to girls irl bros.

In other news, I haven't been sleeping well the last few nights, so after a massive dinner of Greek food I went to sleep at 8:45 and slept for 11 hours, which was just what the doctor ordered.

I am officially an OLD, time to see if Chipotle has an early bird dinner special.

If I ever end up in a situation like this I hope I do the heroic thing as well. Although I already failed at this once. A few years ago I had a dinner with friends, got drunk and went out. A few blocks further there was an apartment that literally just bursted out in flames as we walked by. Three of my friends (we were 5) ran in, took the stairs and ran out like 2 minutes later carrying a child and a grandma.

I stood there just staring at the flames totally frozen. But I'd like to believe that was because my own house (parents, where I grew up) burnt down to the ground just 3 days earlier, and I might have been in shock. Afterwards we continued going out and I got totally depressed drunk that night yelling at everyone what kind of a pussy I was.
