equal lols @ "big names in the fitness game" like who, ****ing chris jones pulling in SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS from youtube subs every year? Damn what a big shot. Or maybe he means Heath and Co, I'm sure they really give a **** on his opinion about hbbs vs lbbs.

so i was curious about calculating the nutritional value of spices when bigger amounts are used. for example i used 5 tbls of cayenne pepper in a recipe that i was calculating the calories and macros on. but each serving size is so small that the nutritional value is 0. so obv multiplying wont work. couldnt really find anything online so far on this. also used 1 tbls of each of cumin, garlic powder, onion powder and ground black pepper. anyone know a good site for info like this? tia.

Are you eating the entire recipe at once?

is this a legit question? either way, no its a big pot of chili. wanted to calculate total macros then divide by serving number.

It's a very legit question. If 1 serving is insignificant, and 10 servings adds up to be significant, but you're only eating 1 serving, then why do you all of a sudden care?

Also we're talking about a dried pepper. My estimate for the calories of 1 cup of cayenne powder is like 10-20 calories max.
06-19-2015 , 04:16 PM
yeah you guys were right. theres very little nutritional value. found a couple diferent sites that had them all listed in the 15-25 calories per tbsp range. dont know how legit the sites are but im not gonna worry much about it.

Is SAW actually suggesting that someone else be less Aspy? It seems that he just wants to be super precise and makes sure he accounts for the extra 1.8 calories or whatever that he will be consuming.

And he never explicitly said that it was insignificant to him if it was just one serving, although I can see how one could infer that from his initial post.

I once looked up that a packet of splenda/equal has 4 calories, and they're allowed to say 0 bc it's less than 5. k, cool. But when a baking recipe uses like 50 Tbsp splenda instead of sugar then, well, it has a lot more than 0. I think that's a much better example than 5Tbsp of cayenne in a huge vat of chili...but it's still pretty low in the scheme of things. Really not worth worrying about.

This is probably actually true. Fat people are never going to collect on Social Security/Medicare. They probably die more abruptly on average and thus save on long term end of life care/nursing although they probably add more to healthcare costs during the course of their productive living years, so maybe a wash?

If that's the case then why are there 500 posts in ytf's thread about how much cooking spray he uses?

Yeah, the evidence on cost is not clear, but there's some evidence along these lines that healthy people cost more. Of course, even if true, it's not for the idiotic reasons in the r/fatlogic post.

I'm pretty glad "we" resigned Verlander instead of Scherzer

This happened to me as well heading back from college one year. I was passing a semi on a two lane highway, as soon as I get in the left lane to pass, an unmarked car speeds up and tailgates me, so after I passed the truck if I had slowed down he would rear ended me. I get back into the right lane to slow down and he lights me up. I told the cop what happened and he just kind of shrugged and handed me the ticket.

Tinder pics and Indiana fight video were top shelf.

While in Vegas tried some new whiskeys (for me) that most of you have probably had. bulleit rye and knob creek rye: the knob creek rye was awful, no idea why anyone would drink this over regular knob creek. The bulleit rye was awesome though.

Also did a Hibiki sampler. Hibiki 12, 17 and 21, and that's how I'd rate them. The only one I'd had before was the 12 and it's by far the best. I could see how people could prefer the 17, but the 21 was not worth it. 17 is slightly sweeter than the 12, and 21 is like drinking sugar.

If GoT has a Tinder subplot, they've really strayed a bit too far from the books.
