Anyone listen to these yet or have an opinion? Its between these or some senn HD595. I am just worried about sound leakage from the Senns, mostly gonna be used playing live pokers, as it was pretty loud when my gf was wearing them and standing about 3 ft from me.

Also compared the 595s to some grados and the sennheisers were a lot more comfortable, and the owner or the store agreed.
got the B&W P5's almost 2 yrs ago now and they have held up great and sound awesome. My only complaint is they hurt my ears after extended wearing, ESP if im wearing my glasses. Overall tho they are pretty great, but would opt for over ear headphones with thicker pads next time

Yep. Got the c-pads from Headphile.

About 2/3rd of the way down the page it says,
"V10 C-Pads for Grado Headphones".

Hi, I'm just looking for the best sound-isolating and comfortable headphones (I have big head and wear glasses). No budget. Don't mind batteries. Any suggestions?

not sure if genius or ******ed. seems like the highs would be too much to handle with those cups.

I'm going with genius. Grados can be very painful sitting on the ears for some ME.

If anything it smoothed out the highs, but still has the signature Grado sound.

Totally grunching but figure this thread would be a good place to ask where my best bet is in-ear headphone wise. Looking to spend between $60-120. Can someone that knows more than I do list some good values for me please? Thanks in advance.

I just bought the klipsch 5i from amazon and love them. I know people complain about the big buttons, but I love them...if they are too much of drag just tuck into shirt collar when working out. Sound quality is pretty good, not great.

I dunno if Pioneer HDJ-1000s are considered poo to all the audiophiles, but mine are still in fantastic condition and haven't broken at the swiveling joints (yet); lows and mids do sound a bit too colored but these are about 4+ years old. Heard the 1500s and 2000s sound bounds better and are more balanced so I'm probably heading in that direction after these break.

FYI - the earpads on the 1000s and 2000s are interchangable (1000s are supra-aural and very uncomfortable imo; bought authentic 2000 pads which are circum-aural and feel so much better).

Bought the Beats (Studio) by Dre in january this year.
I was about to board a 12 hr flight and my old headphones just broke, so I had to quickly replace them.
I'm sure there are way better options in that same pricerange, but due circumstances I thought this was the best short term option.
I got to say I really love them. Love the noise cancelation and sound quality.
The only downside is the audio leak and ofc the price.

Hey guys, was just wondering if you guys could tell me where those SMS Audio headphones are ranged in quality on the market? Just curious. I have a studio beats & icemat siberia V2. Nothing fancy

Can't decide between the pxc 450 and Queit comfort 15's.Anyone have any experiences with either? Any better ones out there?
07-05-2012 , 03:56 AM
best earphones for the gym?
07-08-2012 , 05:57 PM
Can anyone recommend any good reference/monitoring headphones. I want a set that are neutral across the frequencies. Open back is preferred but closed will do as there doesn't seem to be a great deal of open sets on the market.

My budget is £100 - £150 (~$230)

I'm considering either

Shure SR840

Beyerdynamic 770 Pro (have read these are bass heavy?)

KRK KNS 8400

If anyone can advise between the above or recommend alternatives I'd be very grateful
