He's looking for under $200, momentums are $300. The M50s aren't as bulky as they look, either.

Don't wear over ear headphones playing live. It's rude.

Just seemed like you care more about how you look when you're in public than your music quality so I figured they'd be perfect for you

looking for a pair of iphone 5 compatible earbuds (with mic), preferably under 100 but could go a bit over.

barring that, looking for best and most stable set of earbuds in same price range if you think the iphone compatibility severely limits quality.
05-18-2014 , 08:16 PM
what kind of music?

is sound accuracy and quality more important than BOOMING bass?
05-18-2014 , 08:27 PM
mostly i listen to indie rock, instrumental / post rock and metal, etc. but little bit of everything.

yes, sound accuracy most important, also comfort/stability - thanks!

Hey,

I've been using beat studios for a year now and really like to get something else.
I use headphones a lot while grinding and after a long session I literally feel like ears sometimes hurt, prolly b/c bass is just too strong for everyday use imo.

Been looking at Audio-Technica ATH-M50s and AKG - K-272 HD atm.

Any other recommendations for a daily grind?
Prefer $100-$300 range, if something really amazing is a lil more, would go for that also.

Any recommendations on some IEM's that are better than Klipsch's S4i II's? I'm really new to this audio stuff and it seems there is a lot of information out there but I have no idea how to begin my search (head-fi.org obv was my first place to look). I'm not really a bass person and I'm not really sure what other information may be prevalent to helping me out.

I would say my budget is ~$200.

for in ears... I have the Klipsch X11i's.

they are definitely the worlds most comfortable headphones because they basically weight nothing... 10 grams. superb noise isolation because of the ear tips and it has a a audiophile fully balance full range armature where the s4's are merely balanced kg25's weight another 10% or so.

you have to like very clean precise music though, no bass hog here. Balanced, clean and accurate. However they are a little more than $200 unless you can find some on sale or thru eBay. beware of imitations/knock offs. ask for the serial number and check it here http://www.klipsch.com/verify

you may also take a look at the westone series of in ears... they are also quite good if you are looking for clean sound. there is a model fro every budget.

Super comfy, will be great for grinding. Can be found for cheaper. Guitar Center sells them for ~$200 I think.

Anyone know of a good pair of wireless headphones? Looking for an ear bud type that are normal sized. I've seen many that are huge and not looking for something like that...

Thanks.

ear bud wireless?

never seen that
06-05-2014 , 11:56 AM
They aren't available yet but I know someone is at least working on a wireless earbud concept. It looks really cool:

They're taking pre-orders but I don't know when they're planning on shipping any product.

They have nice ones with good audio... But they are bulky.. Looking for ones that can fit nicely under a beanie.

you're looking for bluetooth headphones.

try the sony SBH-80. they sound better if your device supports apt-x, which iphone doesn't.

there's other brands like jaybird bluebuds, plantronics backbeat go 2 etc, but those are more intended for sport. i've done a lot of research on these in the past week or so.

edit - heh these aren't exactly what you're looking for i guess. but i think they fit the bill. having two earbuds with zero cables at all sounds like a recipe for losing one or both very quickly.

Add Klipsch M40's to that blue tooth list
