Well, Lakers are so terrible their fans all disappeared. That'd bode well for their competitiveness.

I'm legit raged that my bookie isn't offering an Anthem line. Either that or I can't find it.

They are very similar to the Lakers except that they have a little more pride and stick around yelling WE GOT 6 even while they havent made the playoffs in back to back seasons. I've come to admire them hahaha

Watching the lynch interview i feel bad for the guy. He's clearly uncomfortable talking in front of a crowd but he's forced to or the league fines him a Mercedes?

BS, if he has anxiety he shouldn't have to partake, Thats just f'd up

Maybe the seahawks should send him to public speaking school in the off-season.

Part of the contract HE WILLINGLY SIGNED that pays him millions of dollars includes obligations towards media and fan appearances. If he can't handle that, he should have found a different profession.

No, but I know some really soft people who are about to get crushed by Denver's Defense.

I don't know anyone who could not be trained to spend 10-15 minutes giving a decent interview for the amount of money involved. I have to do things for a lot less money at my job than this that I don't want to do.

Even Zack Greinke could do it.

Or he would rather pay money than answer questions asked by people he doesn't care about. Maybe he found a job where the amount he makes far outweighs the amount he could lose by not talking.

Looks like he is the smart one.

Agree. Also lol at "he signed a contract"

He seems to do fine with normal interviews during the season when it's just a couple of interviewers. But when there are literally hundreds of cameras and mics being shoved in your face, it can get unsettling for someone like him.

Lol at "find a new profession" when this is only an issue if he makes the SB. And, as stated, he has no problem paying a fine to get out of it. Reminds me of Ochocinco/Owens. They came up with tons of celebrations that they knew would get themselves fined. To them though, it was worth it to pay ~10k to do them. To Lynch, he's ok being fined $X to avoid Media Day.

Looks like not since he showed up each day to avoid a fine and came across really weak. If he just avoided the whole thing and took the fine I'd have a lot more respect for him.

Def feel bad for the guy. A Denver reporter asked the skittles question to try to make it easier on him once he realized how bad it was.

1. he gets paid to play football, not do interviews
2. i believe the NFL agreed that he met his obligations
3. he's just about that action, boss
4. lol MSM slappies!
5. lol Shoe!

was also amusing see the sports shows roll out their "top moments from Media Day" clips yesterday, cause like apparently nothing interesting has ever happened during one of them, judging from what i was. anyway i wonder how many of those hacks mailed in some article about Lynch not wanting to talk to them instead of like writing an interesting story about one of the other 100+ players/coaches there. (those guys should obv be thanking him)

He also gets paid to promote a multi-billion dollar industry, many of those dollars which find their way back to him. If he can't handle that pressure there are lots that make a lot less money than him that do. Do you think the bagger at your grocery store with anxiety doesn't deserve to make more? He does it anyways for a lot less money. SUCK IT UP for 15 minutes of your life. There are lots of other people with anxiety issues that don't make what he makes, but since he is an athlete that has been treated special his entire life he should be treated differently?

That being said, I feel for him too and hate all the media day stuff to begin with. But it is part of the job and part of the reason they make so much. The league wouldn't be able to pay their contracts without obligations like that.

Sometimes I have to wear a tie to work even though I'm not meeting with anyone who requires a tie. I do it anyways. My other option is quitting, and so could he.

Dmac from Denver radio ripped into the reporters that called him out today. Was cool to hear. Pretty douchey thing for reporters to do even if part of his job is interviews.

Marshawn's best buddy on the team is Michael Robinson, who used to do a regular YouTube show where he would interview players in the Seahawks locker room. Lynch always politely declined even talking on that, obviously the friendliest possible interview there was. He just has an aversion to it whether it's anxiety or whatever, and since he isn't going to give a good interview anyway I'm not sure why the media wants to corner him so badly.

The Seattle media has always just let him be. They seem to all like him enough when he's off the record, said he's never rude, etc., that they don't want to force him if it's that big of an issue for him.

John Clayton went on a rant about how if one player doesn't talk then there's a risk that suddenly the whole team won't talk, which is silly given how much money there is in doing a nice job in interviews.

damn near impossible to find a self-promoting ******* in the NFL these days...

last week Sherm was a bad guy for talking too much
now Lynch is a bad guy for not talking enough
