Justin Tuck had 4(well 5 because that grounding was 100% Justin Tuck getting in Brady's face and not so much a "free two points" but a well deserved two points) sacks in superbowls and a number of more pressures. Just outright dominant against the Patriots and I would argue the #1 reason Giants won both superbowls and did not receive the MVP for either of his efforts blows me away.

Tuck, as is, I would argue is a borderline Hall of Fame player as he was maybe the most dominant DE against the run in his era and still a premier pass rusher not to mention was historically elite in two superbowl victories and elite in 2 super bowl runs outside of those 2 games. With the MVP I would say he gets in, with the two MVPs he would be a no brainer for the writers.

So dumb. Tuck was the second best strength rusher of his era, and the only one better is an all-time great DE that will go down as probably the best overall DE of his era or top 2. I hope he gets a shot at some point. So fun to watch.

He was obviously evaluated by the same guy who thought that Amukamara was a solid pick. Same flaws but obviously far more advanced in Apple.

Freeney is the other one that could go down as the best of the post-Strahan Era.

There are also going to be a lot of fired head coaches who will be recycled into other teams...not surprised about Gettleman.

Gettleman hiring is bad news for the Giants Prima Donnas - wonder what it means for Odell

Also, the QB FA situation is gonna be really interesting this offseason - feels like a lot more decisions on vets, understudies, FAs than most years

well obv that was a farce, Gettleman worked for the Giants a long time and for the guy the Giants hired as the consultant to search for a GM.

It's gonna be hilarious when the Rams have to travel to the Dome for the NFCCG because they tanked and lose there.

Onto other topics: "Slot receiver" is a nebulous thing. Landry is overrated because he's so slow that his YPC is in running back territory. (I'm not even kidding. Todd Gurley averaged 12.3 yards per catch this season. Alvin Kamara averaged 9.9. Duke Johnson averaged 9.1. Jarvis Landry is at 8.7.) He could probably be a positive player in a smaller role, but if your offense is funneled through him, it's not going to be a very effective offense.

He is super slow and doesn't have that good of hands. He also catches a lot of balls on third down short of the marker, which doesn't help. He is shut down when any halfway decent corner plays man.

The Dolphins are 16-3 when Landry has 6 targets or less and 15-29 when he has 7 or more. Seems to be that if you were a good player, the more you were used, the better the team would do.

I think Landry is a good WR. If Kenny Britt got 4-32 off 1 decent year at his age and still got 8m per, Landry is going to get at least 10m per

landry is ass. low efficiency compiler

seems like the problem carolina had forcing plays to benjamin who was also a field clogger. they are now like 22-2 without him and under .500 with him.

some terrible org will pay though

Isn’t willie snead free agent after this season? Pay the guy a couple mill as NO has rendered him completely useless. I mean he obviously has something to do with it but take a flier on him.

I’m a big fan of BYRD but he’s always injured. Russell Shepard was a ****ing WOAT signing. Thanks gettlewoat. Carolina basically needs all skill position players.

Yeah, Benjamin has his use but if you force the offense through him it's going to suck. Cam could definitely use a legit 1 on the outside. If Olsen can keep it up a little longer then that could be a good three-pronged attack with him and McCaffrey, and like Samuel or Byrd to do some speedy person stuff. (Actually really interested to see how they use Samuel when he returns; he's got some Randall Cobb-like hybrid qualities.)

legit 1 would certainly be nice, could really have something going then. been waiting many years and many blown draft picks. had a chance with alshon but nope

then again everyone would be better adding a legit 1

Landry is super slow, but he didn't get magically slower this season, & he averaged 12.1 ypc last season with Tannehill.

His efficiency is fine sans Cutler, & he's a perfectly adequate player. But yeah, he's most likely getting overpaid.
