No, he was injured and got the job back once he wasn't. As usual, you buy into the first narrative that confirms your worldview.
Why don't you check out where Cian ranked Kaep? I know that's subjective, but he's sure as **** done the work and I am 100% confident you haven't. You really think Houston, Green Bay, Indianapolis, Tennessee, Miami were all in better shape going with their backup after their starter got injured than Kaepernick? You really believe, in your 100% objective unbiased opinion, that Kaepernick is worse than Tom Savage, Brett Hundley, Scott Tolzien, Matt Cassel, Jay Cutler, and Matt Moore? You really believe he's worse than all three guys in Denver?
You blew your top at the suggestion that Kaepernick be signed to
back up Nick Foles. Do you really think Nate Sudfeld, a sixth-round pick last year who has never thrown a pass in the NFL and his on his second team, is better than Colin Kaepernick? Because that sounds 100% objective and in no way the product of bias or "truther" thinking.
It's hilarious that you openly root against a guy being blackballed for his social justice stances while accusing other people of having "white guilt." Maybe you have some guilt over how cushy your life has been for being a white guy who's been lucky enough to be insulated his entire adult life from real work or interacting with ordinary people by gambling and finance? Maybe your accusations of "white guilt" are a projection of that voice deep down that says "Maybe I just happened to be in the right place at the right time and I'm not as awesome as I think I am?"
Hey, remember when you thought we should really, like, respect Janay Rice's decision to stay with Ray Rice, as though there are absolutely no complicating factors that would cause a woman to remain in an abusive relationship? Maybe, like, talk to a black person or woman to get their perspective, just once in your life.
Also, you suck at evaluating QBs.

Ehh. I think his ceiling is higher but there's more volatility to his outcomes because he hasn't played in a year. I wouldn't want to give either of them a long-term deal today l if I could help it, but Cousins would probably be the safer play as the outcomes are more predictable. I mean, definitely give me Kaepernick at 2/8 or whatever over Cousins at 5/125.
Any evaluation of Kaepernick from last year needs to consider how much production he lost to receiver error. One pass every 8.5 attempts-- not accurate attempts, attempts-- was a lost completion due to failure of the target, and yet, he completed 16 TD to only 4 INT, with Jeremy ****ing Kerley as, by a sizable margin, his best receiver.
