New fast food discussion/review thread - Page 712 - Other Topics Forum - Discuss Pop Culture, Arts and Entertainment

I ate at Baker's Drive Thru for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. Had the shredded beef burrito. It was comparable to what you would get from a quality Mexican takeout. Chick in front of me worked there and recommended the Double Bakers, burritos and Caribbean chicken sandwiches. Fries were a 6-7 but very potatoey. Would definitely hit it up again. Looking on the web they also have a decent breakfast menu. If anyone has tried it let me know what's solid.

McGriddle and hash browns for McDs breakfast.

Buffalo ranch mcchicken, quarter pounder w/ cheese and fries I'd say if money's no object and we don't care about value. Never had the fancy burgers there though.

20 piece nuggets with fries and coke is never wrong. the coke is key, dont think you can take it home and drink your own stuff and it will be just as good.

Tried the TB Beef Quesarito and was greatly disappointed. For starters, mine was a runny mess. It was like 60% sour cream/chipotle sauce/liquid cheese, 35% meat and 5% rice (variance here?) Why even bother with the rice? Seems pointless to have it floating in a liquid mess. And I really don't like the chipotle sauce - too overpowering.

I discovered today that McDonalds has a World Cup game right now(similar to the Monopoly game pieces) if u r into those sort of things. Won a free oatmeal lol.

I concur.

This reign of breast meat--or in the McNugget's case, "breast meat"--has gone on for long enough. I'm excited that dark meat chicken is slowly starting to make its way back onto menus again.

Had Rubios for the first time, was very impressed. two taco plate, one chicken one steak, both the "super" style or w/e with avocado and bacon. Thought both were delicious. Also had a bite of the wife's especial fish taco which was also very tasty. Plate came with beans and chips; beans were meh, would probably just go with three tacos next time, but would miss the chips with the fresh salsas.

Caveat that it was like 8:45 and I was starving, may be influencing my level of happiness with the tacos. Looking forward to trying again though next time in SD.

When I described the mcds cheeseburgers as terrible, I was mainly talking about the cold, undercooked skinny patty on stale bread with unmelted cheese underneath the meat.

When I eat ff I'm not really trying to count calories.

20 mcnuggets >>> 2 cheeseburger value meal.

Edit...clarification as to why my cheeseburgers from mcds were bad on this day at one location.

If you remove the bun and ketchup it's only 140 calories. 90 without cheese. Not the worst thing in the world to eat.
