In the Midwest on vacation haven't had a chance to FF much altho I have been to Waffle House twice, so amazing. First was breakfast got a waffle two eggs over med hash browns with jalapeños onions cheese ham and chili with white toast and a side of city ham. All for 6.75 (hash brown add one are like 40 cents each so it was more like 9$ but w/e) Should have held off on city ham it was too much food for one fatty too handle. Next time was after long night at casino I'm perusing their manager specials and one of the specials is biscuit sandwich w/ sausage, biscuit sandwich w/ cheese and a cheeseburger w/ a coke for 4$. I was intirgued figured it had to be a choose one deal. NOPE you get all 4 for 4 dollars?! wtf way too good of a deal too pass up so I got it to go ate all 3 sandwiches in short order and passed out from a food coma. <3 Waffle House

Am I the only one who thought that the last iteration (or maybe it was the second to last iteration) of BK fries were amazing? Everyone I ask seems to think I'm crazy. It was the one with the crispy outer shell. I thought they were awesome, almost as awesome as the McDonald's fries back when they used to fry them up in animal shortening.

I live in the south but the nearest Waffle House is a 30 minute drive across town. Waffle House!

Waffle House is ****ing horrific. Last winter a buddy of mine and I got stuck eating at a Waffle House checking out of a hotel and this conversation happened:

Tony (ordering toast): You guys have butter?

Waitress: We have butter.

Tony: I mean, real butter? If you don't have butter I'll have whole wheat toast dry.

Waitress: Of course we have butter.

Tony: Cool, whole wheat toast with butter.

Waitress: *brings Tony toast*

Tony: *takes bite of toast with margarine* Excuse me, waitress, this toast doesn't have
butter.

Waitress: *points at toast* There's butter right there.

Tony: That's not butter, that's margarine.

Waitress: *retrieves tub of margarine to prove that Waffle House has butter*

Tony: That's not butter.

Waitress: ::in an annoyed tone:: Well, that's the butter we got.

Tony: Never again.


Not that this is the reason that Waffle House is horrific, but to be employing the dumbest people on Earth, being universally filthy, and serving the god-awful slop that they do makes them rival Golden Corral the worst restaurant chain in the country.

GTFO Waffle House is incredible.

No butter? Check.
A thick layer of dust bunnies on the vent hood above the flat top? Check.

I'm yet to meet anyone irl who hates pickles like I do. Makes me wonder about my palette or something, I just can't stand pickles on anything for the exact reasons you mentioned.

I imagine Waffle House, like most chains, vary widely based on your current location. The ones here in OKC / norman area seem to be pretty good. Also your friend arguing about butter/margarine sounds like a turd
