Also the DOJ needs to prove that putting money on poker sites is gambling to prove the money laundering charges so we could all get the argument we want out of this. The DOJ has to prove poker is gambling because in a previous supreme court ruling they sided on the players side in saying his skill at the game is what made it a business so he didn't have to claim his winnings as gambling revenue.
Money laundering/fraud is another beast not neccesarily needing any more evidence than that listed (assuming it's credible). The other indictments do seem to infer poker is a form of gambling (which is currently unclear). Even if the companies are free to give the money back (somehow), it's unclear how they would do so.

(pay out a 2% cut)

get it?? money laundering is fine if you're a "made man".

stars/FT/APs' crime was in not having permission;
$ laundering is buisness as usual.
it happens all day every day amongst fortune 100 corporations.
standard. drug money is the banks favorite money. they pay no interest on it and can therefore leverage it way further

The gov't is laughing at us because we can't even stop bickering with each other let alone attempt to fight them.

Each one of us can do something - big or small - to help further our cause.

We need to push for regulated poker ... and have a say in the terms of the deal.

Otherwise, the gov't is gonna laugh and give us crumbs because we did nothing when the sht hit the fan.

There are some good ideas in the thread, and any additional ideas are welcome.
Everyone here should be doing this. It's easy + can potentially make a difference. Come on 2+2!

No one should be starving if they are a professional since they should all have at minimum 6 months worth of money in the bank or elsewhere if there ever was an emergency. No worries....they should be able to figure it out before the run out of money.

Oh really? Is that why Pokerstars at one point had 250K users online tonight? Is that why the Sunday Million still had 6500 players today (while it was usually around 8000)?

A huge portion of American players seem to think because they are not allowed to play, the entire online poker world has collapsed. WRONG. The U.S. is just a country. PS and FT are still operating over the entire world and will still make millions and millions of revenue each day. Why should they cancel their business?

I'm sure they will reimburse funds ASAP. Everyone's probably freaking out over nothing.

Legislation/Legalization is on our door steps, and we won't have to worry about this ever again.

Everyone do your part!

Email a letter to your local, state, and federal government... including the prez himself. It takes 30 seconds... ez game:
