Yes, the regulatory entities that.....regulate I guess, FTP and Stars' businesses have provisions that force the companies to keep their customers' funds in segregated accounts.

Really? 1st 6 posts all negative comments again? And no response that they will help the cause by following the ACTION PLAN?

http://www.pokerxanadu.com/actionplan.htm

I won't respond with more bickering. Seriously, mods, please ban some of these people for continually posting topics dedicated to different forums.

It almost seems as though there is a counter activism force that has been put on this site to help spread misinformation, fear (e.g. "The money is gone. European players, remove your money"), promote laziness (e.g. "cool story bro"), and overall try to cloud any kind of consistent call to action by the online community by posting random useless posts so that the thread is so large noone can hope to read it all without being totally exhausted and fed uyp with all.

STAY VIGILANT. LETS FIGHT THIS! EVERYONE GET ON THE PHONE TOMORROW!

.
Wachovia/Wells Fargo busted for money laundering while involved in moving over $378 Billion in drug money; cash from Mexico (1/3 the mexican GNP), and they get slapped on the wrist for a $150 million fine.
(pay out a 2% cut)

get it?? money laundering is fine if you're a "made man".

stars/FT/APs' crime was in not having permission;
$ laundering is buisness as usual.
it happens all day every day amongst fortune 100 corporations.

Funds are segregated (FTP and Stars, probably not UB/AP) and very likely to be perfectly safe, so there's really not much to worry about in terms of eventually getting our money back.

When is another question....

And now, please go shoot yourself, thank you.
How is the money safe? They are in trouble for money laundering. It was illegal in the first place. Why would the GOV let you have your money back you made illegally? They will just confiscate the funds. The only way you would get the money back is if the online sites were going to refund and then send everyone tax papers to be filed. Good luck

If you want to help change things for yourself and your fellow poker players, please check out this thread.

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/57...hread-1021812/

The gov't is laughing at us because we can't even stop bickering with each other let alone attempt to fight them.

Each one of us can do something - big or small - to help further our cause.

We need to push for regulated poker ... and have a say in the terms of the deal.

Otherwise, the gov't is gonna laugh and give us crumbs because we did nothing when the sht hit the fan.

There are some good ideas in the thread, and any additional ideas are welcome.

we can 't do anything because nobody gives a **** about poker players

it's all pointless. just need to hope some casino lobbyists are able to get online poker legalized eventually

You need to be banned. Calling some one a "******" and telling them to "shoot themselves". I wont stop till your banned bud

Plenty of people care about personal freedoms.

Something like this would help:

04-18-2011 , 12:32 AM
Will US Players get 100% of their money on Stars?
Yes: -1100
No: +800

Will US Players get 100% of their money on Tilt?
Yes: -750
No: +450

Taking action now ...

If the insane rakes in the online game donated to politicians weren't enough to get it through it's not going to get through after the amount of poker TV shows falls drastically due to Stars and Tilt cutting their advertising, less new players into the game, less fish, less winning players, the game dies. If it didn't happen before now, I think it's pretty obv a dog to happen after now.

made a deposit on full tilt today , stumbled on this thread wtf s going on?

they took my deposit TODAY.................. im in england btw

what are my chances of getting my funds returned?

I've already posted this in several other places on the forum, but I want to bring it back as it doesn't seem like enough people are signing it. Everyone should be signing this petition, especially since it takes two seconds. It might not make any real difference in the scheme of things, but just showing that we have large numbers is good enough. Please pass this petition on and sign it!

Ok I haven't read the whole UIGEA but I believe that the sites can pay us anytime they want that part is not illegal (transfer to players) we as players really have not done anything illegal since the UIGEA puts the responsibility of stopping transactions that are illegal on the bank. Also the DOJ needs to prove that putting money on poker sites is gambling to prove the money laundering charges so we could all get the argument we want out of this. The DOJ has to prove poker is gambling because in a previous supreme court ruling they sided on the players side in saying his skill at the game is what made it a business so he didn't have to claim his winnings as gambling revenue.
